"Got set up with Rachel Schlosser, who seems to have only been at the practice a month or so. She refused to work with me and quit halfway through our second session. I tried to talk to her boss, and had to leave repeated messages to get a response, and when I did, it was rude and condescending. I didn’t even receive a referral to another practice like I requested as part of my therapist quitting. If you get set up with Rachel, just quit before she takes your money and abandons you, too."

"I’ve been in and out of counseling/therapy for over ten years and so far this has been the best experience. Was shopping around for a new counselor this week so I reached out to five or six practices and Progressions has really blown them out of the water and that started with intake. I wasn’t able to reach anyone on the phone, but I left a note on the website and someone reached out via email within 30 minutes. Jody was my intake person and she was so lovely & actually talked to me like I was a person. A lot of intake processes are super impersonal but this one was so far from that - such a breath of fresh air. I was pretty specific in my request that I really wanted to see someone with a similar cultural background (a black woman) - I reached out on Monday and had something scheduled with someone who fit that bill on Wednesday of that same week! There are quite a few intake documents compared to other places I’ve been, (8 or 9 to the typical 4 or 5 in my experience) but the policies are written in a really humanizing fashion and emphasize healthy boundaries for all involved. They outline any and all fees super transparently and there’s no sneaky legalese about co-pays and hidden fees. The actual therapy experience was the cherry on top! The counselor herself that I’m working with is amazing. We’ve only had our intake so far, but she was SO personable and checked me on my sometimes negative self-talk even as we were just going through the initial intake questionnaire. I really appreciated that instead of just following the intake questionnaire to a T, she bounced around to keep the flow conversational and not overwhelm with the “negative” questions like trauma and family mental health history. Edit two months later: counselor is still amazing!!! She’s kind, thoughtful, and helps me take inventory of myself in a helpful way!! These are all “smaller” details but I think they paint a picture of a practice that really centers and humanizes people over processes."

"I had 2 sessions then Was billed an astronomical amount for a session after insurance. I have tricare & the military covers everything. So there definitely has to be some shady billing going on. I’ve never I repeat never had to pay for ANY medical care. I canceled all future appointments. It really sucks because the therapist was really good."
