Small Behavioral Health Counseling, LLC is a private mental health practice located at 1213 Coventry Street in Akron, Ohio. We offer psychotherapy, diagnostic, and treatment services to adolescents and adults ages 12 and up with mental, emotional, and behavioral needs. Our focus is on providing individualized therapy in a variety of settings to help individuals heal and become aware of their inner strengths.
We do not provide or prescribe medication and currently offer all services via telehealth for Ohio residents only. Our mission is to promote wellness, peace, and balance in the lives of our clients by establishing genuine therapeutic relationships and providing high-quality mental health services.
Takiyah Small, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision designation, is the Owner and Clinical Director of SBHC. With a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Human Development, Takiyah specializes in working with individuals dealing with mood and thinking disorders, suicidal ideation, major depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, family and relationship conflict, and behavioral challenges. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches to help clients reach their goals, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
