"If you want caring and compassionate advice based rooted in biblical principals of love, faith and God then keep looking. I came across this guy researching faith based counselors for a family member. In interacting with his social media I was blocked after suggesting a Bible verse on a post that seemed very hypocritical to me. There was zero talking. Just a block. Seems fitting for a counselor right? Please do your research and check out his social media and other Google reviews to see if it's a good right for you. My experience with trying to set up service was not good and his views seemed opposite of the Christianity I know."

"It is my opinion that Michael is not trauma and abuse informed. He came across to me as patriarchal and complementarian. I often felt hurt and invalidated by Michael, but I kept working with him weekly for about 8 months, hoping that I was just around the corner from a breakthrough. I finally needed to stop for my own safety. I saw evidence that he puts a lot of time and effort into planning for and keeping detailed records of each session. He always offered to redirect the session to a topic of my choice. I didn't feel seen, heard, or believed as a trauma survivor, which is devastating. To learn to be safer for trauma and abuse victims, explore the work of: Lundy Bancroft, Patrick Weaver, Pastor Chris Moles, Darby Strickland, Leslie Vernick, Sarah McDugal, Dr. Keith and Sheila Gregoire, Dr. Sheri Keffer, Dr. Omar Minwalla, and Andrew Baumann. But back to Michael-- he has a great big heart and is passionate about what he does. I know 2 people who have had great experiences with Michael, I know it is possible! I wish him well and hope he can connect with people who benefit from his unique counseling style and share his core beliefs. Edited to add: Here is yet another invalidation of me in his response, in addition to a privacy violation by mentioning my husband who did not give his permission to be discussed in my review."
