"They used very good talk therapy and helped with perspective. My sessions seemed more like complaint sessions. Obviously this helps, however therapy should dive deeper into how to change perspectives. They used very little CBT technics. Which I had forgotten about, until just recently when I started with another therapist. If you’re looking to just talk and vent, this is a place for you. They can help with perspective, just not skilled in behavior. I have to agree with other reviews the only way to reach this office is through one person. I spoke to no other staff than their main receptionist. If you have scheduling problems do not expect much help on that front. I once showed up for an appointment and sat in my car for nearly 30 minutes because there was no one to answer the phone. My therapist lost track of time. She did come out just before I was leaving and was able to give me a full session. I showed her kindness and no judgement as I understand each of us will make mistakes. My experience with Scott was not a good one. I found him very arrogant and he was always right, as a parent you will always be wrong. I had been teaching my daughter mindfulness to help her sleep..He insisted bubbles was the only way a child could focus, I still disagree..his “bubble” technic did not work for my daughter. How silly it is to disagree on bubbles. After only 2 sessions with our daughter he was very negative and said she did not need counseling. I think he was fooled by a ten year old. I agree with other reviews he did more note taking than counciling and I also found his sarcasm to be very demeaning. Final item.. the statement of “No active client is ever denied treatment” (they say this as a response to another review)… this is a total lie. I did miss 1 appointment without canceling in 24 hour window and did cancel two appointments due to hospitalization but these appointments were canceled according to their 24 hour policy. I have a severe autoimmune disorder attacking my pancreas and is completely idiopathic, meaning it can attack at anytime without any notice. The federal government agrees with me as I receive disability for my illness. I also can completely understand if they did not want to provide me with further services because this is a business. However I did call 3 times after missed appointment and I offered to pay the entire fee for missed session out of pocket. I also asked if they could please call me back and let me know what their decision was so I could look for another place. I received zero call back. Zero! I would not recommend this office on the simple fact of the functioning of their office. There is literally no way to get through, you cannot even go into the office as they do not allow you to wait in their lobby. Doors were always locked. They scream COVID as the reason but at the time I was a client all my other doctors/specialists did have waiting rooms open. Some did require masks but most did not. I was never asked to wear a mask during my sessions nor did my therapist wear one? It was just a way for them to be able to not offer staff. I found this unavailability to be extremely stressful from being forgotten in my car to not receiving call backs for several days. Doctors offices should always return calls. This office is poorly managed, the excuse they give of 100’s of calls to answer. If you are this good hire more staff. Again, I would NOT recommend."

"My therapist, Chett, was amazing, however the rest of the staff are heartless and disgustingly morally wrong people. My boyfriend was in a near death accident in may and had to cancel an appointment then so I apparently only had one more cancellation and I called today because my grandmother was just in an accident aswell. Had an appointment tomorrow at 9am and called at 3:41 because of my grandmothers car accident but it didn’t matter because “it wasn’t 24 hour notice and I had no choice but to find another practice for therapy” .DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS OR YOURSELF TO THIS PRACTICE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH"

"I have been going to Creekside Counseling for some time now. The experience there has led me to refer quite a few people to the practice. The amount of change and growth that I have experienced is due to my therapist, Scott, finding so many ways to explain, help and provide tools to overcome many issues I have had for years. The staff - all of the other therapists - is so friendly and accommodating. The office manager is absolutely the best. After changing to Creekside from my previous therapist, I was afraid that Scott would not be aware if I needed to get in right away. She absolutely knows when I am suffering and either reaches out to me herself to help me or make sure that I get in as quickly as possible. I can honestly say that I would recommend them to anyone - young and old. It is a very calm, warm and wonderful place to work on achieving all your goals no matter what they may be. I highly recommend them!"

"The assistant referred me to a therapist they have (Scott) for my 15 year old daughter and I was told he was "the greatest" with kids. The 1st meeting with him while transitioning him to my daughter was uncomfortable; he's a little overly aggressive and confident and comes off as such (like he's done this 1 million times before (and I'm sure he has) but not in a good way) However, I let my daughter go to the next 2 sessions anyway to be open-minded. (maybe she will love him!) She met with him twice after, and here are her thoughts (her words): "He's VERY nice, but he repeats himself a lot, makes a lot of jokes that are not really funny to her and it kinda gets exhausted having to laugh at them. He's hard to read with his facial expression sometimes. Interrupted me a lot. Laughed at parts of my stories that I really didn't mean to be funny, making it kinda awkward for me to continue or want to talk. I didn't feel like he really understood or related to me. He never said he did anyway. He never asked me to talk more or elaborate, just "OK" and on to the next question - it felt 'forced' and I was dying to get out of there. He was writing during half the meeting and it was awkward during those times in silence (sometimes like 3-5 minutes twiddling my thumbs on the couch)" ----She did not want to go to a 3rd meeting. So, I'm sure Scott is a wonderful counselor for some kids/teens, but was a very wrong fit for mine. My daughter went into this therapy session for her first time with no preferences (male or female, no age preference, etc.) Now, she is certain that she wants a young female counselor moving forward. So in the big picture, this place was a stepping stone for me and my family to find a better overall solution. I'm grateful for their help - just leaving my honest review. SUGGESTION to Creekside (perhaps use Chet more for teenage girls?) - and have your patients pay first, this would have been better for me. The other way around feels very impersonal."

"We had Dr. Scott as a counselor and my 13yo loved working with him. My daughter had to quarantine due to Covid and I left a message to cancel her appointment. (Literally the ONLY way to communicate with this facility) and I have been trying for the last 2 MONTHS to get a call back to reschedule her. They just IGNORE you. They don't call back and I am disgusted how they treat their patients. I have a balance THEY OWE ME but please keep it and hire new staff in the front office (AKA SHERRY) that cares about the kids!"
