"My wife and reached out to Candy after doing research on a breeder who is both part of the Pug Club of America and an AKC Breeder of Merit. She was the only one we found who was both and anywhere near the east coast. She truly cares about the breed and making sure it improves. Her application process was thorough, which as previous pug owners, was welcomed. Anyone with a pug knows they are not for everyone and require unique care. The application process helps weed out folks who don't know or understand this. Which I suspect, also leads to unfair unwarranted negative reviews. We waited for several months for our dog and Candy was very communicative. She posted weekly pictures of the litter. The scheduling and pick-up was flawless and her and her husband even accommodated our schedule, as we were driving and wanted to be on the road early. The facilities and house are clean, well kept and obviously filled with pug love! Candyland pugs is well known and highly rated in the pug community. My local breeder who is AKC registered and does shows, also works at our vet and asked immediately where we got her on her first visit. He said he knew before he asked just by looking at the dog- and could not believe we were able to get a dog from her. He said she show quality- and has temperament only found in a handful of pugs. We have had her now for two months and everything is wonderful. Cast has asked for updates and we have asked a few questions- always to get a prompt response. Thank you Candland Pugs!"
