"The Cleveland Cinematheque at the Cleveland Museum of Art shows films from all over the world, generally Thursday through Sunday nights 50 weeks out of the year. People in cinema from Peter Greenaway, Ray Harryhausen, Horton Foote (who won the Academy award for best adapted screenplay of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD), John Waters, Crispin Glover, Jim Jarmush, Willem Dafoe and others have come to the Cinematheque to show and share about films in which they've been involved. Just last night, February 4th, Mike Cheslik and Ryland Brickson Coles Tews came with their films LAKE MICHIGAN MONSTER (2018) and HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS (2020) a Cleveland theatrical and Cleveland premiere. And some beavers came with! As "The Alliance of Women Film Journalists" said "'Has to be seen to be believed...Starts strange, gets stranger, and yet remains resolutely adorable." Films yet to be screened in February 2024 include THE PIANIST (Oscars for best actor, director, and adapted screenplay), several films by John Ford, AMÉLIE, Buster Keaton in SHERLOCK JR. (100 years old!), a documentary on ENNIO aka ENNIO: THE MAESTRO, CASABLANCA (along with another Bogart film IN A LONELY PLACE and two more of the ZAZ films - TOP SECRET! and THE NAKED GUN: FROM THE FILES OF POLICE SQUAD! (they *do* lie their exclamation points!)"

"A wonderful facility for viewing foreign, art, and classics curated by knowledgeable staff. Costs are very reasonable, but there are no concessions for these films. The theater is also a classroom, so Don't expect high end cushion seating ."
