The Inn at Grayson

"My husband and I stayed for 2 nights the first night was fine. Second night my husband had to go to the front desk and complain about the noise coming from the room next to ours they told him they would take care of it, not so finally quieted down around 6 a.m. we were told the motor to the Jacuzzi had gone off . Couldn't anyone pull the plug , or made arrangements to put us in another room. Not a happy customer."

"Clean and Comfortable, but had some hang ups for sure. We were traveling with our five children, ages 6 to 15. We had requested adjoining rooms or rooms beside each other months in advance. My husband, the 6 year old and I chose one room, our oldest 4 went in the other room across the hall. Our room had cups, coffee, and a nice check in note. The room our teenagers chose had none of these things. The rooms were clean and comfortable and served their purpose for a place to sleep for the night. Breakfast provided food. Smoothie machine was broken and there was a waffle maker but no syrup in the syrup dispenser. Everyone left with something to eat. Check out got a bit rocky. We requested to pay cash for the two rooms and both got charged to our debit card on accident. The girl working the desk tried multiple times to contact a manager and on the 4th call was able to contact someone to approve a refund of the cash payment I had given her before our card was charged."

"We didn't have a reservation, but we had called earlier in the day on April 15th. Whoever answered the call quoted us $75.00 for the night and said there would be no problems with our support dog. The trouble started at check in. The clerk, Lisa, was poorly trained. It took 30+minutes to get our room key. When we told her about the rate we were quoted, she had no clue about how to adjust the rate. Lisa never asked about documentation of our service dog. The last thing that was said to us prior to going to our room was that Lisa would let the manager know so the rate would be adjusted. Sunday morning as we were leaving, Krystal, the manager, chases my wife out the door yelling at her as if she was a crook and demanding to know our room number. This was not our first stay at the Inn, but it is our last. We were charged 111.19 for our 75 dollar room and another 250.00 because Lisa did not put in the computer that we had our dog in the room."

"The room was very clean and a wonderful place to stay as a halfway point between SnowShoe West Virginia and Ky. The bath tub was perfectly clean as were the sheets. It was quiet as we did not hear a peep out of neighbors. It was 2 minutes off I64. Someone complained about the breakfast in one of the reviews. I have stayed at hotels and paid $300 a night with no breakfast- just a couple of bottles of water in the fridge! They had several microwaveable breakfast sandwiches to choose from, cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juice and milk. Also bagels, and breads etc to toast. The price for the hotel was very affordable and worth staying there. Staff was very friendly!"

"Very clean and comfortable rooms. I was well provided for with 3 pillows per bed and ample soap, coffee, and towels. I would be content if all my hotels in the future were like this. For me, the beds were comfortable, slept like a baby. I do have a suggestion. You can soften the sound of neighbours doors closing by using rubber stoppers in the door jambs? Like on kitchen cupboards. Have a look into it and help your light-sleeping guests. I am not one of them, but my aunt was a few rooms down. Breakfast had 2 waffle choices with a make-your-own setup. Fridges in the "breakfast room" contained yogurt, milk for coffee, butter, cream cheese, pre-made croissant and English muffin sandwiches, etc. Several instant oatmeal selections were offered too.Tables allowed you to share breakfast with family outside of your room. Coffee was available in the lobby the entire day. If you didn't like that coffee there was coffee/tea in the room as well. Thanks for the pleasant stay!"
