"Quick, good communication before starting and in the classes. Referral to self learning information then incorporated it all in class with repetition and guidance to help my daughter have things done right in her mindfulness and muscle memory. My daughter says about John "Very polite, patient and understanding. Understands your own body's limits. Never afraid to redemonstrate it for you. Gives good tips.Always seems to be in a good mood." Awesome experience and awesome location!"

"Mr. Turnbull, Sifu (Instructor) at Immortal Palm Cleveland brings a cerebral European sensibility to his instruction, which is not surprising given his background. Further, he is inter-disciplined trained; hence, he brings a world view encompassing not just application but theory too. He travels regularly to train with his Sifu, Carl Dechiara, a Wing Chun martial artist amongst other disciplines with over 45,000 hours of training, including 12 (conservative number here) trips to China & Hong Kong & whose lineage goes directly to Yip Man, The Father of modern Wing Chun as we know it. Mr. Turnbull is not afraid to drink from the well of truth himself. He too goes to Hong Kong to train at specific schools where the founder of each school are direct descendants of Yip Man’s lineage. Further, Mr. Turnbull is a student of Kenneth Chung, a legend in the contemporary annals of Wing Chun. I am a 60 year old who’s been in a few studios & dojo’s in my time. You’ll make a mistake by not giving Immortal Palm Cleveland a try. Passionate. Dedicated. Professional. This place Is The Real Deal. I was Not asked, nor am I paid to write this review. I’m doing it because I want to & should have done this a Long time ago. (Revised November 2020)"

"I have been away from my training for over four years since taking a position overseas. I miss this place and now that I'm back in the states, I'll be contacting Carl to get back into training ASAP. He's the absolute best and the lineage of his training back to Mr. Ip is authentic. He also goes to China to continue his training for a month or so every year and comes back fresh with some great insights for his pupils. Would highly recommend but keep in mind Wing Chun is not for everyone. If you're uncomfortable with being physically and mentally broken, look elsewhere because this is serious training. Having said that, Carl is great at meeting every student at his/her level. Looking forward to getting back!!"
