"Bottom of the barrel insurance company. Does NOT COVER HARDLY ANYTHING. Do not waste your money paying for this. Any employer that ops to elect this insurance coverage for their employees is NOT an employer that cares about its employees."

"Reasonably good for covering stuff. What I don't like is the non-stop contact. I literally get mail for my wife and I almost everyday. They email constantly. They call on the phone constantly. Surveys, upgrade sales, you name it. It's non-stop."

"My 14 month old son tripped and fell. Very young children fall sometimes while learning how to walk. He unfortunately fell by a door and hit his head on a metal door hinge. It appeared he needed stitches. I called his pediatrician's office & sent them a picture of the injury. They said he may need stitches and may need to be sedated during the procedure and instructed me to go to the nearest hospital ER. Good thing an in-network hospital was only a few miles away. They took care of him. Bad thing is that Security Health Plan is my health insurer. The visit to the in-network ER was denied. My EOB says I owe 100%, they will pay nothing, they will apply nothing toward my deductible, they will not even apply their provider discount. Their EOB has me paying full price for the care he received. This is beyond frustrating. What insurance company doesn't even get a discounted rate at an in-network hospital? I guess I should have taught my son how to walk the day he was born, so he would have had more practice walking and maybe would not have tripped when he was 1. Shame on me."

"This has been legit the worst health insurance plan I've ever had. I'm not even sure what the point was for me to be paying for insurance coverage when this company hardly covered anything anyways. I broke my foot in September 2023 and it has cost me $2.5K out-of-pocket, after insurance for this injury. This insurance maybe covered 5-10% of the total cost for the urgent care, multiple podiatrist appointments, and X-rays I had for my broken foot, which were all very necessary appointments for my health (yes Security Health, I do need a functioning foot, I shouldn't have to go into debt over this!). What a joke of a health insurance company! Avoid completely! It's insulting really what isn't covered by this insurance or just barely covered. It was rude honestly for me to pay $225 for every X-ray session (I had 4 x-ray sessions done at different times to monitor bone healing, so I personally paid $900 for just x-rays) and for Security Health to be like "Oh fine, here's $28 towards your X-ray appointment". I'm sooo thankful that my employer dropped this health insurance company recently. I'm much better off now with health insurance that cares! Oh and now I get my X-rays covered 100% by my new insurance, what, did you think I was getting x-rays for fun?"

"They don't cover out patient blood work. Prepare for a 300 dollar bill after blood work, because they won't cover it. This is the worst health insurance coverage I've ever had. They seriously cover nothing I regularly see a doctor for. I'm not sure how they get away with the coverage they offer. They need to make some serious changes to their plans. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone and it's unfortunate this is all my employer offers. Premiums keep going up and they keep taking coverage away, doesn't make any sense.
