"I am a senior citizen and I have had nothing but problems with the Salt Lake City branch of this insurance company. I was rear-ended on my way home from teaching school my a Mac-Truck on a major freeway. There was $7500 of body damage to my car which Central decided to fix. My car never came out of the shop and it has been determined that there is a problem with my transmission that obviously wasn't there before. Central sent out a guy to the body shop to determine if the accident could have caused it. What else could have? The insurance agent Patricia told me they would have covered it but the shop wouldn't put the car up on a lift. So, by looking at just the car their guy determined the accident didn't cause it. Patricia actually told me they would have covered it, but because "my shop" like I own it, didn't put it up on a lift that I was responsible for towing it, and having the transmission torn apart. Then they would decide. I then had to bring my company into it so I could still have a rental to get to work. They are now in sublimation with the Central Insurance. This is the most incompetent thing I have ever had to deal with. Do not deal with this insurance company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"On 11/19/2023, a deer jumped over a guardrail and made direct contact with my vehicle while on i81 in Virginia. My SRS system deployed all of the airbags in the vehicle which in turn resulted the vehicle being declared a total loss 11/23/23. I began the claims process with Brian Ingram on 11/20/23. I was never once offered a rental vehicle, but after over a week, I was able to reach out to my agent who assisted in getting me into a rental. My policy had up to $3000.00 in rental coverage, but I was only permitted to keep the rental for a weeks time, totaling just over $500.00. I relayed my payoff information to Brian on 12/4/23, followed up with him again 12/6, again on 12/11, and again on 12/20. I expressed my concern that this claim had surpassed the 30 day mark with no progress. I also expressed the financial burden I was incurring by being responsible for paying on a vehicle that I no longer had in my possession. I then followed up with Brian again on 1/8/24 asking him to update me on this claim. The automatic reply I received assured me that his mailbox was monitored and that my file was important to him, however I never heard anything even after leaving a voicemail for Shane Glover (as instructed). Brian responded by informing me that he "gets alot of emails daily and it is quite possible yours got deleted." Brian also informed me that the request for a copy of the title and letter of guarantee was submitted on 12/5/23, but then invertedly revealed to my lienholder the request was not filed until on or around 12/12/23 through email correspondence he forwarded. I received an update 1/12/24 with those emails. On 1/17/24, I was informed he received the information needed, and the settlement was based off a letter from 1/27/24 versus the date of loss. I am being told that Central Mutual's policy states that they are to base the settlement on the date they receive the letter, regardless if it was their own error that caused the delay. As of today 2/6/24, my vehicle lien has not been satisfied. I have been with this insurance company for years, and have never had an issue. What they have put me through in the last 3 months is unbelievable and wrong. I hope no one else has to deal with this kind of situation."

"Very pleased. People very pleasant and respectful. Quick service. Called and handled things generally for me without my even have to think about things. Paid my car allowance fairly quickly so I could get a new car quickly. Surprised how fast their response was."
