"I’ve been visiting Jiu Thai at least once a month, and their food has never disappointed me. If you like noodles, you must try their hand pulled noodles! I love their red oil beef hand sketch noodles and Xi’an cold noodles (vegan!). The broth and the sauce are very flavorful — they are savory, sour, and (slightly) spicy, with the right balance. Their BBQ items are great! I’ve had lamb, chicken heart, and squid. They are well seasoned and soft! Other things that taste great include delicious pork sandwich, lamb sandwich, and Yuxiang Eggplant (vegan; sweat and sour and savory). Since this is a Chinese restaurant, they really specialize in authentic northern Chinese cuisine. In general any Chinese dish on their menu is awesome! (So please lower your expectations for non-Chinese dishes, such as Pad Thai.) Lastly, this is a perfect place for one diner, especially if you are into noodles :)"

"The chicken and veggie soup is my absolute favorite. It comes loaded with celery, onion, and I think cabbage. I like to add some of their hand stretched noodles. They also have a selection of some bottled and canned beers and saki and the like."

"Really stands out in an ocean of mediocre Asian dining. Extremely consistent too. I’ve eaten here about 5 times so far and haven’t been disappointed. Seems like the management and the cooks know what they’re doing. Very quaint location and almost hidden from view. The interior isn’t impressive but that is hardly the draw here. This seems like a take-out operation. Not to mention, they package their food very well. Much better than any other restaurant I’ve seen. They use tin foil to retain heat. This seems to keep the fried foods from getting soggy. So many times I have ordered crispy chicken, and by the time it gets to my home, it becomes soggy. I don’t know if anyone else can commiserate with that, but it absolutely sucks when you’re craving crispy chicken and get soggy chicken instead. I’m not sure if it’s because of their packaging method or because their food quality is better, but every time I order sesame chicken here, it’s crispy, crunchy, and very delicious."

"First time here. Not too busy at 4:30 so service was good. I played it safe and had mushroom chicken. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Lamb Hand Stretched Noodle. Super yummy."

"I wanted to give this restaurant a five star is. I chose it specifically because of the other readings. I got my chicken pad Thai to go. Someone came to greet me right away and take my order. It was ready in 10 minutes. The food is well cooked. It just doesn’t taste very good."
