"I found this a very distributed organization with a few really competent people but mostly filled with the clueless. There's a lot to unpack but let me start with the most important. If you have anything but healthy eyes, don't come here. Their practice is to use optometrists that run interference to keep you from seeing a real ophthalmologist. My wife and I both have medical conditions that should be seen by an ophthalmologist, so they gave us appointments to see the ophthalmologist, even promised same. But when we got there we were scheduled with an optometrist. Since we were there, we went ahead with it. They were slow and understaff and one of the techs explained "nobody wants to work here anymore" so they were short handed that day. We went through the exams which seemed to overly rely on machines. Anyway, we both got machine glasses and paid in full up front. When we finally got the glasses, I asked my wife after a couple weeks why she wasn't using her new glasses. She said because the old ones were better than the new ones. I was like what the heck, called and spoke to the office manager and they arranged for her to come back to the office so they could fix using a different optometrist (again, not an ophthalmologist). I also pointed out to both the manager and the second optometrist when we got there for the "fix it" appointment that her neurologist was shocked how bad her eyes were and the first optometrist didn't notice. We were then told by the second optometrist that it was our fault for not self-diagnosing (seriously, I'm not joking). We should have self-diagnosed her eyes not tracking right so that the first optometrist would have known to look into this more deeply ... this still boggles since it came from one of their "best" optometrists. Anyway, she made corrections to the original optometrists' prescription which were indeed better. But my wife still thinks the old glasses are better, so we're going to have to go somewhere else that will actually let us see a real ophthalmologist. Are NEOhio ophthalmologist the gods they are supposed to be, how would I know, we're not allowed to see them when we obviously needed to. Ok, moving on from the irresponsible medical treatment to the billing clownery. Remember I said I paid for the glasses up front in full. Well that didn't stop them from adding more charges later for the glasses and billing me. I called the office and they didn't know why and said to just ignore the extra glasses bill. I did, but this month I just got another basically fraudulent bill, boggle. But wait, there's more. For the "we screwed up and we'll fix it" visit they had the gall to charge the insurance again to fix their mistake. Oh, it gets better, they charged the insurance for an ophthalmologist medical visit specifically, not an optometrist. This may well be insurance fraud, but if not, a disgusting business practice to get paid twice to fix your screw up. But wait, there's even more. My wife and I had identical visits, even same room, same time. Yet we were randomly charged under different billing codes. And I was charged more for the same thing. Hey wait, I thought women paid more for the same thing (wink girls). :-) So they billed me instead of the secondary insurance to pay the extra. Not getting into all the times I had to call them, finally they understood and were to bill the secondary. Which, even after me reminding them multiple times they have to send the primary EOB, they sent it to the secondary without the EOB, who, of course, refused to pay without the primary EOB. That's still on-going after of months of clownish-ness. I could go on believe it or not, but you get the idea and can decide if this is what you want to deal with from an eye place. I would just close with the reminder, if you have a serious problem and need an ophthalmologist, good luck seeing them here."
"All around wonderful! Michelle was beyond helpful and friendly throughout my entire LASIK process - she is truly a gem! Dr. Marc Jones performed my surgery and was gentle, brilliant and informative from start to finish. All around 10/10 service and would certainly recommend this team to anyone considering."
"I have been a patient for 13 years and I like my dr but the very long wait to see him the last time is unacceptable. I have been waiting an hour and still haven’t seen him. Never was told the appointment would take 1 1/2 hours for a 20 second procedure. No explanation for the extremely long delay. No apology. No consideration for peoples time."
"I’m very pleased with the help I received from NEO Eye Surgeons. I’m a new patient dealing with a very painful eye infection and despite their busy schedule, I was seen the day after I called. I received antibiotic drops and received a follow up exam two days later. Dr Reynolds was thorough, courteous, and showed concern and compassion. I recommend them highly."
"While I liked the doctor I saw, the staff was extremely inefficient and also a few ( not all) were rude. I called a total of 5 times to get the prescription my doctor ordered called in , also called and asked to speak to the office manager. I had to leave messages every time. 9 days after leaving a message for the office manager one prescription was called in. This all came after I had to wait for extremely long times every time to be seen. The last time I had to wait 2 hours in the exam room, and no one came to tell me why, until I came out and asked if they forgot about me. If the office is run this poorly, I won’t be going back. I still ( 4 weeks) now have not had my prescription issues resolved."
