"I went in for a CT scan, they required me to pre-pay over $1k, then billed me for less than I paid, but for the exact same services. I've called UH billing twice, both times they said that it's been pushed to their "posting" departments, but the issue still hasn't been resolved (weeks apart). I was advised not to call the office I got the services, because they won't be able to do anything. They also said that I won't be getting a refund for the overcharge for some made up charges that wasn't indicated on the original bill. Billing eventually sent it over, begrudgingly, and after I demanded documentation of the mystery charges, but what a nightmare. I also just read that I could have declined to pre-pay, and this would have saved me the hassle. Generally, UH is pretty good, but their billing staff and this new system is really bad. No one is trained. All of the departments are separate, they can't even talk to each other. The woman who charged me at UH Ahuja for the prepayment even warned me that this new system they have is costing patients tons of money in double charges. And she told me that if I didn't pay, I wouldn't receive services, but I'm reading that this isn't at all true. I'll be more knowledgeable next time. But what a scam this is."

"Terrible experience in the lab for blood draw, young man was very cold and rude. Also, very rough, hurt when he jabbed me. Then put tape on, I told him I needed the stretchy gauze bandage instead, he said that was only for people on blood thinners. They were running low. Sent me off with a piece of tape and gauze pad. Drove five minutes to breakfast and my shirt sleeve was soaked in blood. I wish I got his name, I will never let him near me again. This happened last Thursday and my arm is still bruised!"

"Dr. Timar is the best doctor that I’ve had. He really listens, is thorough and cares about his patients. His assistant Shawna is very friendly and professional. If you’re looking for a great doctor schedule with Dr. Timar!"

"The dr is nice but they don't have any organization whatsoever. I specifically scheduled an appointment for a vaccine and by the time the Dr made it into the room all the employees went on lunch break..and the nurse who put me in the room knew I was getting this vaccine so I'm confused why I left without getting it done. So I wasted my time driving there to not get the one thing I needed. On three separate occasions to this office I wait to be seen an hour past my scheduled appointment...."

"Horrible service in terms of reporting to my dr. Actual lab personnel are great. I have standing in blood eork essential to my care. However, lab results are sent from a downtown Akron facility. They are regularly and routinely not sent. I must track them down and ask someone to send them. Staff at the fairlawn facility have no solution to the problem as they say they are aware of the problem and have reported it but nothing improves. They try and help all they can. Another great example of our wonderful healthcare system."
