"I cannot recommend Ascend enough; they literally helped me change my life. I have struggled with mental health issues most of my life and have tried many different resources, medications, therapists, doctors, etc and the only place where I found the help that I needed to finally make a real change was Ascend. If you struggle with treatment resistant or just major depression, this is the place that can help you and won't give up on you until you find something together that works. Their office staff is extremely kind and helpful and they have so many professionals available to help that you have an entire team if you need it (NP, therapist, counselor). Some of my favorite things about Ascend are how well organized they are and the systems that they use. If I have an appointment or if I am overdue for scheduling an appointment, you get emails, portal reminders, texts, calls, and voicemails to help ensure that you follow up if you're forgetful and avoidant like me. You can also text the office instead of calling, which can be super helpful if needed. Their bill-pay is online and everything in the portal, including appointments, is easy to manage. I just feel like they genuinely try to make everything as easy as possible for their patients so that you can focus on you and your healing without getting overwhelmed by the paperwork and process. "I was at my last mental health facility for 20 years and felt i had hit a brick wall i wasn't getting any better. I changed to new new place becase they just built a new facility i did not relate to the therapist and when i asked to be changed they said no, the nurse practitioner did not return my calls or mychart messages i was in a mental crisis. I found Ascend through my insurance and had an appointment with a therapist in a week and the practitioner within 2 weeks. My therapist is Daniel Langer and has an impressive list ofcertifications the thing i am most impressed with he takes notes with pen and paper and is an active listner and likes to ask questions that are thought provoking. I've gotten more from him in the last couple months than the last 10 years with my last therapist where i was going you seen your therapist once every three months right now I am seeing Dan once a week.My practitioner is Mark Garretson he also is a good listener and has a genunine concern for my mental health i see him every couple weeks , where i was at i seen the psychiatrist every three months. I am still trying to get my new meds adjusted correctly he answer questions what I am impressed with he doesn't type on his computer the entire appointment my old psychiatrist would spend nearly the whole time typing on the computer barely looking up and talking to me. This place has been a God send to me I know I am on the right track to getting back to "normal". It is so nice to be treated like i matter instead of a number and just pushed through because goverment insurance was paying the bill. I highly recommend this clinic. You never know the grass is greener on the other side until you go to the other side"
