"Having a double mastectomy at the age of 30 is definitely something I don’t wish on anyone. Dr. Fox was the one who did my reconstruction. He is very knowledgeable and doesn’t beat around the bush which is something that I appreciate myself working in the medical field. "I had breast cancer in 2010 and had the double mastectomy. Dr. Schmidt assisted with my surgeon in putting my expanders also had my husband measure the fluids from the blood bulbs. And my husband took it very seriously when we went back for the check up the dr didn’t even look at how much fkuid drained. He let a intern remove the hose that was attached by stitches and things happen but he tugged and tugged until he realized left a stitch in. I was in so much pain at that time. Well later putting in my implants. When they removed my expanders they must of just busted them didn’t clean my body up and left me all sticky all over my stomach which was so nasty. I didn’t say anything when I came back to get the tattoos done for my nipples. Areolas The tattoo lady botched it some and Dr. Schmidt seen it but the area couldn’t be fixed. So a few years later I come back because the implants just looked lopsided and still felt so tight and really uncomfortable I was ready to have it fixed. The dr. he looked at me and said I didn’t do that. They had been lopsided from the beginning and he absolutely did that because he did the plastic surgery. I also wanted some of the skin that was left on the side under my armpits cut off because it was just to much hanging and was uncomfortable in my bras let alone I looked terrible with it. Dr. didn’t act like he wanted anything to do with it. It honestly hurt my feelings the way he talked to me that day. I left in tears I was told someone would call me when I left but here I am 10 years later and receive a flyer in the mail about this practice. I had already found an amazing plastic surgeon that fixed me right up and made me feel good about my self again. I didn’t choose Dr. Schmidt he was chosen for me by my surgeon because thats who she used. So if I could of had more time to research I probably would of chose a different plastic surgeon. I am not a fan of people who act like their better then you are. Also my insurance covered 100 percent of this services."
