There are so many different settings and ways to use the hearing aids. I have for the past 10 years played electric guitar in the Praise and Worship band at our church. Dr. Verbsky identified his issues, utilized additional targeted testing, and provided individualized therapy to remediate his specific difficulties. She expertly gained my son's cooperation during both testing and therapy, motivating him to persist through his therapeutic activities. My son invests more into therapy when he understands the benefit, and Dr. Verbsky was both willing and able to explain his difficulties, the goals of therapy, and how therapy works to him in a way that he understood and that made him willing to comply wholeheartedly with the exercises. Additionally, Dr. Verbsky provides hearing preservation options for our budding musicians. She offers a variety of solutions for all levels of musicians. Through her practice and personal advocacy, our middle and high school kids' band program enrolled in a hearing preservation program that allows band members to purchase musician's earplugs at a reduced price. Dr. Verbsky did not benefit monetarily from this program, but she was willing to offer this service for the health of our band community.
