About the Business
Canton Children's Dyslexia Center Inc is a nationally recognized school located at 836 Market Avenue North in Canton, Ohio, United States. We provide intensive reading instruction for children in grades 1 through 12, focusing on helping them meet the literacy demands in school and future careers. Scottish Rite Freemasonry of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction has partnered with us for over 25 years to assist children in regaining confidence and self-esteem through proven methods of reading instruction and dyslexia remediation. Our Orton-Gillingham based, multisensory structured language education approach helps children understand the written word through tailored, one-on-one tutoring sessions twice a week after regular school hours. With the help of our professional staff, trainees, volunteers, and friends, we have changed over 16,000 children's lives since our inception in 1994. Our 40 locations in 13 states provide training courses and intervention to children, with over 4,200 tutors certified through our programs. By investing in the potential of these children, we are investing in the future of our world.
