Anesthesia Associates Of Lima

"Had surgery in late Feb, received a text message late March with a link to make payment. I don't pay bills that way so I decided to wait for a paper statement. Aprox 1 week later, beginning of April they text a reminder. When I got another text message in May but still no statement I tried contacting the only number I had, the one they texted me from, no answer. I finally decided to just do a google search and for the contact in Lima, which told me to call another number. They wanted my account number, which I didn't have because they never sent me a paper statement and the link that was on the text message didn't work. So after giving them all my info they told me that my bill was $98 so I asked for a paper statement to be sent out so I could pay by check. It finally came in July, I paid it, they cashed it. Then in August I get a notice from a collections company that I still owed them $26 dollars. So I had to go through the whole thing over again to find out there was 2 separate bills for same day procedure, which they never said one word about or sent a statement or anything for that bill. I tried contacting the Lima office directly but the lady I spoke with was very rude and made it seem like I was wasting her time trying to get them payment. Will not be using them again."

"This office is horrible. I had surgery at st Rita's hospital and the drs office called to precert it. I called also to double check and was told that it would be paid at 100%. When I received the bill from Lima anesthesia it only paid 80%, when I called them they were rude and told me they didn't take my insurance. My company actually sent it in again to be paid at 100%. They only wrote off $410 out of thousands that they paid, and this office then sent me a $410 bill. I pay for my insurance, I paid the deductible, co-pays, and they took my insurance companies money-- but again told me they don't take my plan so I was responsible. They then told me I need to precert anesthesia separate, I should have asked my anesthesiologist in the 5 min consultation before my surgery if he accepted my insurance, and won't take any money off. Both this office and St Rita's get this complaint all the time... so how many people are they sucking 100% of their inflated bill from? It's ridiculous. I work at a hospital and my Human Resources couldn't believe they were doing this for a needed surgery. Stay away from these people and St Rita's hospital because they keep letting them do it. Horribly rude!"
