"Going above and beyond, as another reviewer mentioned, is a fair assessment but sometimes it can be perceived as money hungry or condescending. Nice enough people. Very thorough in explaining things. Great for new pet owners or someone experiencing a procedure never before done, but I'm not very welcoming of it when it comes to annual check ups, shots and other common issues that comes with owning a pet. I'm not fond of Lake County high rates in general! I've been spoiled by my previous Country based vet who, at times offered discounted rates for having multiple animals especially when taken in on the same visit or for being a long time customer (20 years). They genuinely cared for both the customer and animals. Loved that about them. It was my own doing on a recent visit to not have spoken up and say I didn't feel a need for an annual exam to be done when 2 furbabies were taken in for shots being they both had been examined not that long ago for what was rather urgent visits. I would have preferred they took notice of that and suggested themselves it wasn't necessary. Would love to see all Vets get on board in extending more compassion to customers on limited incomes and trying to afford care for their pets and/or emotional support animals. I didn't outright ask if they offered discounts but it wasn't offered either on my first visit when I made it known I was on a low income and at the time in tears bc of worry. They offered no emotional support to me. Just uncomfortable silence. Oh well. At any rate I won't be returning to this clinic. It's nothing against them directly or their care for animals or how they run their business. For me, it's just me not feeling very comfortable there."
