"By far the worst experience my children have had. Always threatening to withdraw my children because we live an average everyday life, have been sick, have had drs appointments….. trying to force public schooling on my family even though that’s not what would work best for my household…… Mrs. Pyle is absolutely the WORST!!!!!! Thank goodness it’s the last semester (pending my children aren’t withdrawn unwillingly) because I will NEVER use connections academy again nor will I ever recommend them to any other family I know!!!!!! Next school year is definitely going to be K12 or a different option!!!!"

"I go here, and personally I really enjoy that I can do schoolwork whenever I want. I can do school at 1 am or even at 7 pm if I wanted to. However, I absolutely despise the whole concept of hours. I keep getting told it's because they're a public school, but my sister went through a different program that was considered a public school and there was no mention of needing to make certain hours. They punish kids that have to work a job everyday, and don't have the time to put in so many hours. Those same kids get their work done, and get good grades, but just because they have work everyday means they might have to talk to a truancy officer. This is speaking from a personal experience. The hours just catch up to you and there you are, behind 80 hours, considered truant, but yet has straight A's. Some students are more intelligent, and can get their work done much faster, so why are we punishing them for that. You may say, add an extra curricular, or another class, but now that student is going to have boatloads of stress, having to work all day, come home, do school for 7 hours, getting 2 hours of sleep then repeating. It's absolutely atrocious the lengths they go to, just to punish a kid who simply doesn't have the time. We enroll in this school because of the flexible schedule, yet we can't have a flexible schedule? I could go on about this all day, but I'm going to get told the same thing, "it's just because we're a public school." I've truly never heard of such a thing, as long as you're attendant and getting work done, it shouldn't matter."

"My kids love connections academy. They are able to interact with the teachers and students and learn at their pace. They have live lessons to attend that help them learn and keep them on track. I suggest connections academy to anyone looking to have a great school at home for their kids. It is bully free and nice to be a part of. They even have field trips for the kids to get together."

"My son has been attending Ohio Connections Academy for 2 years. As a parent it has been a wonderful experience watching him grow and learn. When they are in public school you have no idea how or what they are learning but, with online schooling you get to see first hand exactly what they are learning and help them if they need it. It is also great because my son can move at his pace. If he gets it, he can move on but if he doesn't, then he can keep working till he does. He doesn't have to move on just because the teacher does, like in public school. Some people think that online schooling is just sitting in front of a compute,r but it is so much more. He has a teacher for every subject that he can go to live lessons with, web mail or call. He also can get involved in clubs, chat with other students and go on field trips. It is not for every child or family but it is a wonderful school and if you are not happy with your public school (like I was) you should check it out."
