"First time in Akron, from Columbus. Went to purchase a car at Vandevere and before heading back, we chose this place to eat dinner. We waited about 20 min to be seated (enjoyed the fire on the patio). We ordered 2 long islands that were extremely sweet with no alcohol at all. The bartender lady (blonde) was rude when we asked for shots as a replacement and told me the long islands "weren't sweetened". I've ordered enough long islands in my life to know that those were very sweet and unacceptable. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the general manager, Michael, who immediately offered us new drinks and took them off our final bill. The second long island had a strong sour mix taste and wasn't up to par neither but I accepted it and my husband ordered whiskey shots instead. Our waitress was kind, but not very attentive, or at least, not very consistent. Michael did come back to our table to chat for a moment and informed us that the restaurant had fallen off and are trying to get their groove back. I'd say, get the bartenders to make drinks the way they are meant to be and are KIND and to make sure servers are attentive and organized. Other than that, the atmosphere was fine and the food was great! Pricey though. May come back someday."

"Very disappointed. Horrible experience, We had a reservation for 5:30pm and did not get our fried fish dinner until 7pm. Our waitress was super nice and extremely apologetic. We know this was not her fault at all. We found out from one worker that this place accepted 2 very large grub hub orders that buried the kitchen and clearly took priority over the customers who were already seated. We saw the grub hub orders and there must have been at least 40 carry out boxes per each order. Another employee told us this happens all the time and management doesn't seem to care. This place could be awesome if they made their customers who stop in for food and drinks a number 1 priority. Last, our waitress was able to remove our appetizer and food from our bill as a final apology which was appreciated."

"Should have read the most recent reviews. Then we could have been spared the nearly 1.5 hour wait for our food. When the food did come (a steak), it had no flavor. At this point, we just ate it. Manager comped $20 and a free dessert. I just want my time back so I can go somewhere else to eat. Never once did our server ask if we wanted refills. Just an overall disappointing experience. Note: We ordered at 6:30. The restaurant was half full (though there was a big party). Food came out at 7:45. If you’re short-staffed, I get it. But don’t turn tables then. Have a wait time to make sure your kitchen can keep up. We don’t live in the area, so we wouldn't be back anyway."

"We’ve been living in the area for years now and pass this place all the time, finally decided to try it out. We were really excited especially after looking at the menu online. Came in for an early dinner (4pm) and everything looked promising, the host was very nice and friendly and sat us right away. We sat at a booth that had a family already seated right behind us. The table was sticky and dirty, which was okay, was just going to ask if we could wipe it down when we ordered our drinks, however we never got to that point. The family behind us got to place their order, get their order, get refills, while we sat for over 30 minutes. The server kept looking at us as he walked directly past us too. We thought “okay maybe they’re short staffed, maybe something’s going on.” But our frustration came when they sat a family at a table directly across from us and within 5 minutes they had their drink and food order taken and they still didn’t stop at our table and walked directly past us. So we just got up and walked out. The food we seen come out looked really good, wish we had the chance to try it but I guess they didn’t want our business."

"Oh my, this place is sooo goood!!! If you like deviled eggs, YOU HAVE to try theirs. They are delicious and so is the lobster macaroni and cheese!! I don't think there has been anything we have tried that we haven't liked, a time we have come that we had less than great service and never had to wait for a table more than 15 minutes. It has a great atmosphere, with a beautiful fireplace inside and lots of seating on their outside patio with fireplace there as well. They are family and kid friendly, and never had a waitress or waiter that was annoyed by my grandchildren and their ongoing wants and needs, which is always a plus. They have awesome menu selection and just as great drink selection. This restaurant/tavern/grille has remained a top pick for us for years now!!"
