"As a member of the Toledo Choral Society, I am truly disgusted with the the change the Toledo Symphony has made in doing the Messiah. How they believe that 40 voices, which means 10 voices per part, will equal over a hundred voices, is a mystery to me. How they think dumping an organization that has such a long tradition with them is a good move, is also a mystery. The Toledo Arts should be working together, enriching the city of Toledo and surrounding areas with beautiful music. By dumping us, they have taken away a third of our budget. What kind of organization deliberately cripples another, especially when they have worked so closely together for so long? Not to mention, the concert at the Cathedral had been standing room only. Who throws that away? I will no longer support the Toledo Symphony, and will encourage everyone I know do to the same Deborah Billow"
"The symphony is excellent. All the star performers shower them with praises, and rightly so. An added plus is the amazing Peristyle. It is one of the best concert halls in the country. And wow Toledo has a concert hall built for its symphony. Not many smaller cities have that!"
"A lovely early evening spent listening to the Toledo Symphony Youth Orchestra. Peristyle had seating for hundreds, seats were padded and very comfortable. Plenty of leg room excellent acoustics. Admission was free."
