"The girl was nice but she could’ve just been honest that she wasn’t familiar with doing black peoples hair my hair is thick and was straight before I sat in the chair because prior I went to Paul mitchell for a wash & silk press they did GREAT I always go to Paul Mitchell school I’ve had white girls do my hair before (not that it matters) but it does if you just don’t know what your doing playing in folks head speak up if you don’t know…they did not seem intimidated by it and if they weren’t familiar with my hair texture they asked the instructor or myself they genuinely wanted to do a good job & for that reason I always go back because I had good turn outs with my hair going there they seem to have the right products for all hair types…after a wash it shrivels up and can get kinky the girl @ this school she washed & conditioned my hair with the wrong products because it was so dry and stiff when she blow dried it I combed It myself to put it in a ponytail it was snapping and breaking I had to immediately go home and deep condition & rinse my hair and also blow dry it again glad it was only $10 but what a waste even still…she was careless and rushed thru flat ironing it they asked me at the end was I satisfied with my service I absolutely was NOT but I didn’t wanna hurt the girls feelings she claims she’s at the 600 mark of hours she needs more training what are they teaching them there? How are students graduating without knowing how to do basic styles? Product choices are also important everyone doesn’t use the same shampoo conditioner because of hair types some drier, oilier, thin or thicker hair textures I guess from here on out I’ll be driving to Paul Mitchell-Toledo because it’s worth it to me. I will say they do good on eyebrow waxing but I didn’t have a good styling experience won’t recommend if your hair is on the kinkier side…just saying!"

"best experience with a hair salon, esp the environment! the stylist were very welcoming and nice, they joke a lot to which is great while waiting for the cut. the instructors are also observant and helpful. they even made sure i know how much hair i was getting cut off and explained how they were doing it. my stylist didn’t really know how to do a wolf cut/layers and the instructor showed her very well, she cut my hair amazingly, i loved it! got my cut months ago and i’m about to go back. my mother got her nails done while i was doing that, and hers were done great and the lady was very nice and we all talked, very comfortable place."

"Mariah was my stylist and she did an amazing job. She cut it perfectly and the deep conditioning left my hair feeling great."

"The stylists do a great job. However, there is an instructor (J?) who has been repeatedly rude. I rarely ever leave reviews, especially negative ones, but this is an unfortunate pattern and I feel terrible for the young people there who are just seeking an education. Schools of any kind are where professionalism should begin to be modeled and fostered. What does it say to your students when you are rude to them in front of your clients, and rude to the clients themselves? It plants a seed of mistrust from the client to the stylist, which is not good business. As a trade school, you’d think they would want models of good business etiquette. Unfortunately, there have been multiple times I have seen the opposite involving these individuals. Sending love and light to the instructors who display kindness, and to the students who are doing their best to learn in a toxic environment."

"The stylist are great and do a good job, but the teachers are rude and won't let your own child go back and set with you while getting your done. They refused my child service, but gave another little girl service. Very few good people in there that care and are nice."
