"Went Saturday to find an older, low energy, sweet dog. We were guided to a dog that we walked, and spent time with and she seemed to fit the bill! After we paid, they mentioned the medicine that would be going home with her...a sedative from a recent surgery. RED FLAG, but I thought maybe her temperament wouldn't be that different. Long story short, I called several times to inform them that the adoption would not be successful but they don't answer the phone. It felt shady to me. We did not accept a partial refund as was their policy and chalked it up to lesson learned. Buyer beware."

"This organization does great work. They have a variety of dogs and cats available for adoption as well a reasonable variety of pet supplies. If you are looking for a new furry friend, one of a Kind is worth a visit."

"Love their mission. Love how many animals they save and that they’re a no kill shelter. Love that they care for animals other shelters would put down and care for illnesses. Don’t like that there’s not much method to the madness. A fight almost broke out the other day. No where does it say where you’re allowed in or what animals you can or cannot hold. The signs just say an animal is unavailable. It should specify that it is unavailable to hold or pet for clarity. I think it’s a little dangerous to not be clear about these things. Also, I had been holding a kitten for days prior, and it hadn’t had a sign on its cage at all. Well, an older staff member came over and yelled at me for holding the kitten despite it having been okay other days. She was rude and condescending, yelling at me in front of everyone, and snatching the cat from my lap. I understand this, but there’s definitely more polite ways to handle that situation. I was also disappointed when they made a Facebook post one day which publicly shamed a child for leaving a cat with them to rescue. They ended up deleting it, but hundreds of people had already seen and commented. Some of the staff here is disrespectful and unkind to humans, which does make me worry for the animals as well. Its disappointing for someone who donates so much to this rescue to see. It’s definitely not the worst rescue, but I hope to see some improvements in the organization of or clarity of the establishment’s wishes regarding interacting with potential animals. And they NEED to treat humans better because they need humans to HELP save animals and support them. Humans donate, foster, and rescue. I get that they see the worst of humans, but many of us are TRYING to help. The bad attitudes are so off putting. Help us help you. Please. I fully intend to continue to support and am leaving this review with 5 stars because the work of saving animals means more than the negativity, and I hope others see and understand that as well."

"Amazingly cool Dog party!! The outside area is equipped with all these cool items. Dog friendly and active areas. My dog is normally not kind or sweet to other dogs just alone. And she loved the attention. She was the star at they pool Party. She got snacks and smiles from others. The workers are so polite and helpful. I loved the event my canine Cancorso is ten years old human years.. she had the time of her life! Thanks for the cool invite on Facebook"
