"I feel like one of the most major problems this school has is rewarding kids who ACTUALLY deserve it. They reward kids for bad behavior instead of kids who do the right thing throughout the whole year. There is also SO MUCH favoritism that the teachers show to the kids they like more."
"My 4th grader goes there now but not for long! They called CPS on me during the Covid pandemic when kids were doing online learning saying be was barely online . Half the time they couldn’t connect to the system, which the teachers, principal and tech staff were FULLY AWARE OF! I called them DAILY to let them know of these problems and they said it wasn’t anything they could do. Thank God I keep all of my emails and messages! I even told the principal I hope my son not being able to log on wouldn’t cause further problems! I even asked if they could have paper packets when the computers weren’t working but they said they couldn’t do that! Then my 9 year old had a toy gun arguing with another child over FaceTime , which he was at a friends house because I don’t allow him to play with toy guns. The school called CPS and the Euclid police department on my 9 year old saying he had a REAL GUN! They didn’t inform me they were making these calls and acted as if they were informing me ot the situation! I have 4 sons and raise them right. Kids are kids and make immature choices at times and are influenced by peers! The whole Euclid school system is a joke! I transferred each of my boys out! They don’t care about these kids, this school is a charter school and only cares about numbers! My oldest 2 boys came here when they were younger and it was horrible then, not much has changed! DO NOT ENROLL YOUR KIDS HERE YOURE BETTER OFF IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE HORRIBLE TOO!!!!!"
"VERY disappointed in the brief experience I had with this school. We spent one semester before I withdrew my 4th grader. FIRSTLY, the Dean of Students for 4th grade is unpleasant. SECONDLY, the Principal threatens to call CPS if you are too late picking your child up (Not sure what emergency contacts are for then, but ok). She also threatened to call CPS on me because as a concerned parent who loves and cares for my child very much, I didn’t feel comfortable sending my child back to in-person learning after winter break: (Most of the schools in our area had decided to close for at least that first week, which made me even more nervous about sending her). I’d made several phone calls/emails trying to get some sort of cooperation on the school’s part to do educational material at home with my child until the pandemic dies down some. I explained that my family had been sick twice back to back and I couldn’t continue to risk our health. NHA which is the charter program the school is funded by, said that submitting work online would be fine, so did my child’s teacher. But that principal, MS. STRICK…instead of saying “maybe you should find a school that can better accommodate” she tells me that they will call CPS if my child misses too many days of class, which I could understand IF THE PARENT WASN’T CALLING AND EXPLAINING WHY THE CHILD IS ABSENT or there was suspicion of abuse/neglect. She claims that they are “obligated” to do so but I have NEVER had a school threaten to call CPS on me, as my child is VERY WELL taken care of. It took a lot to maintain my composure and I really almost lost it on her. That’s just not something you say to someone who loves and takes care of their children. I would advise against it y’all…"
"My son is a first grade and I received a recorded call from the school saying he was absent from the school knowing my mother just dropped him and my eight grader off. I called the school about the situation and the office told me they couldn’t give me any information that I had to email the teacher. Once again my son is an first grader and that was very unprofessional and didn’t make me comfortable with leaving my son in the hands of the school. And than with this being a time that we are dealing with Covid it is 29 other students in his classroom and they are not six feet away from each other."
