"This Pregnancy Center offers more than most. They provide a ton of free services. Free prenatal/parenting classes. Free clothing 0-6 yrs, diapers, formula, carseats, cribs, bath related items, toys, maternity clothing, cleaning products, baby bottles, etc. They have an amazing mom's group! They have several grief and healing support groups. Above all they have a heart of grace and love. You will find compassion, resources, and relationship at APS!"

"I’m sure there are some people that actually get help from this organization, but it is not for everyone. I was actually really excited to come here, but left with a bad taste in my mouth. When I first came here, after being told about it by a social worker, I was not aware of the religious affiliations of this place. So be warned, it is a religious organization. Not only was I preached to during my intake appointment, but I was also given a Bible, and instructed of where to start reading. On top of that, the questions asked during the intake are extremely invasive. I was asked questions that I’ve not even been asked by my OBGYN. They grill you about your lifestyle, your spiritual beliefs, and ask multiple abortion related questions. I was asked multiple times, in several different ways, if I’ve ever had an abortion, even after answering “no” the first time I was asked. The woman doing my intake would not drop the subject. There is absolutely zero reason to ask that in the first place, and it is nothing more than an invasion of privacy. They offer “post abortion restoration bible study classes,” so I’m sure they ask to try and get women to repent for their choice. This is not a medical facility, and I’d highly recommend getting a pregnancy test done at Planned Parenthood over Akron Pregnancy Services. Yes, you can get free baby items if you come here, but just know that it is at the expense of having other’s religious views pushed on you. There are a ton of other organizations in the area that will provide baby items, judgment free, and without trying to push an agenda on you. If Akron Pregnancy Services wants to help pregnant women and families, that’s wonderful. However, it should be done out of the genuine want to help others, not with an agenda to push religious beliefs onto those seeking assistance."
