"Friendly Staff, Good Tasting Food and High Quality Food. If they can keep the high quality food as they had today, they have upped the burger game on the Westside! 12/15/23 Thing have gotten better, the food is still great. The employees are doing a lot better. I have been there many times, on 5/30/23 the Fixins Bar was almost empty. There was at least 7 employees, three of them on cell phones. The management took care of the issues and treated me very well. The reward program was not working, this is not the first time. The excuse given was that there is a problem with a restaurant in Maryland. The reward system seams to be fixed. The food was still good, Friendly Staff and Clean. They just need to pay attention to the small things."
"Roy Roger's in Cleves, Ohio really is a great place to visit! It was clean, roomy and welcoming. The dining room tables and floors look really clean! And then I noticed a fresh fixings style bar for customers with fresh cut tomatoes, white onions, jalapenos, crisp iceberg lettuce and more. They have Roy Rogers pickles which have always been softer and more easily edible than many other restaurants because the rind of the pickle is perfect and never tough. RR has several sauces, like "Buckaroo sauce", which was explained to be the original sauce and now they have a new, "Roy Rogers sauce", which was indeed excellent with more of a tangy taste. The Buckaroo sauce was very good, yet very mild: perfect for kids. Horseradish sauce was fantastic, and something called "Boom Boom" sauce which I did not try. They have a small food case to the far right of the point-of-sale registers with quick prepackaged items with boxed juices, veggie trays, fruit and yogurt in cups with fresh fruits. Then to the far left of the registers they have 4 flavors of real ice cream you can get on a cone; They scoop it for you right there! Then I see they have soft drink floats! Then, "beer battered onion rings". I love onion rings. They have fried chicken with breading/coating like grandma makes. However, the real reason I GPS'd my way from Kentucky, through Indiana then to Cleves, Ohio, was for Roy Roger's roast beef sandwich, like the original. And everyone knew it was the only real roast beef place, back in the day. They don’t add water to their roast beef like other fast food chains- they never have done that-ever. So the other day, I ordered a real roast beef sandwich. You cannot fake real roast beef. And Roy Rogers always has and STILL HAS to this day, REAL roast beef and yes it was as fantastic as it ever was in the 80's and 90's. They cut it to order for you as soon as you order it, and they always have done it that way. Amazing. Roy Roger's service was excellent, friendly and omnipresent. It was everywhere! They have the true customer service mindset. And they treat customers with respect. An associate named Marianne took my first order, and I told her it was my first time here. The menu has so many choices. She was so attentive to every customer she waited on. Marrianne made it great! She pointed out the fresh fried chicken hot counter-display case. I ordered a chicken breast which was fantastic! I came back to order several sandwiches to take back home and Marianne said they "freeze well". So, I could see them cutting the hot roast for my sandwiches. This entire crew paid attention to detail, and they stayed busy both behind the scenes and on the floor. Management paid attention to every detail of the service, and they were busy. The fresh bar stayed fresh and well-stocked. Everything was great. The roast beef is all you would hope it to be, (the buns are also the original, soft, sandwich buns). it’s “REAL ROAST, juicy and savory". It’s worth the trip. One more thing: its hard to mention everything in one assessment. The furniture is beautiful with high-quality seating throughout the entire dining room. The store management and district management were there working with their associates and supporting them. I'll be back and I recommend Roy Rogers as it is an excellent business and provides excellent food and services!"
"UPDATE: We've returned to this location several times and I've increased their rating due to the increased freshness of the food. We're glad to have another restaurant choice in the area. Original review: There are few chain restaurants in this area, so this Roy Rogers is appreciated. The food we've had so far, is okay. My burger was warm and delicious but my children ordered burgers that we received cold and the buns hard. We ate a late dinner which is why I think the biscuits were very hard and dry. Part of the order was made incorrectly, but the staff willingly made the correction. The toppings bar had fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and other items available, along with a good selection of condiments. The prices are acceptable. We've eaten here twice and expect to return. The atmosphere is ok. Not much different from any other fast food location. The most notable difference is the decision to allow the line of waiting customers to pass through the middle of the dining area. This puts standing customers within inches of tables where people are eating. Most every location I can recall has the queue walk through a zig-zag back and forth in front of the counter. That keeps diners separate from the queue and allows the queue easy visibility of the menu board. The queue of waiting customers moved quickly but still resulted in some discomfort having the butts of strangers inches from our table and food. We're giving the owners some grace since this location has only been open a couple weeks. The staff was very friendly and helpful."
"Best fried chicken in the area. We had the fried chicken and the chicken tenders, both cooked perfectly! Just the right amount of seasonings, meat was juicy, outside was crispy! The servings are not small! We took home some of each. Also tried the mashed potatoes/gravy (very good), cole slaw (nothing special really, kinda heavy on the Mayo for me) and baked beans (also delicious)! OH YEA, and the biscuit!!! Best biscuit I think I’ve ever gotten from a restaurant! Nice addition to the Cleves/Lburg area, check em out, pretty sure you’ll agree!!"
"Wanted to welcome back Roy Rogers after its long hiatus. Thought maybe they would bring back Trigger and Dale too. This was my favorite restaurant as a child. Very disappointed after my visit. The restaurant was practically standing room only, that said the wait time to order and get your food was acceptable. The coleslaw and Mac & cheese were pretty good. The roast beef sandwich looked good and had some meat on it. The chicken tenders were up to par and chicken dinners with a biscuit looked good. But I went for the double R burger, herein lies my biggest disappointment it was no bigger than a White Castel. The Pattie was cold and dry and the one slice of ham was shaved so thin it was translucent. Second disappointment was the sticker price. A combo meal is $12 or $13, three piece chicken tenders was $6. So two combos and a chicken tenders was $36. I could have gone to Skyline and gotten a 5 way, 3 way, 3 cheese coneys and drinks for the same price"
