"If you have horses or farm animals avoid Shawnee animal clinic at all cost!!!! They came on an emergency visit on Christmas because my pony was down told me my horse had laminitis and gallbladder problems.. HORSES DONT HAVE GALLBLADDERS! Told me they didn’t want to put her down that she still had plenty of fight in her. At that point she couldn’t stand on her own, would barely eat or drink. My aunt and I bottle fed her back to life pretty much and she eventually would stand for a second and then a few minutes but still mostly just laid down. I had called out there several times to give updates and get advice and the only thing they did was keep prescribing meds and saying her standing was good and she was doing better!! This entire time I thought I was doing what was right well because I was listening to a vet but they only care about the money obviously!! They let my horse suffer for months knowing that she should’ve been put down the first day they saw her!! I had to ask after calling out there several times for them to come do an X-ray for them to tell me they don’t even have the equipment!! A vet that actually cares would’ve referred me to someone who knew what they were doing with farm animals from the start but instead they pretended to keep getting money out of me!! They finally referred me to a equine vet out of Chesapeake last week and the second that vet saw my poor baby she said “this is her doing better?? This is the worst case of laminitis I’ve seen in 20 years” my heart broke hearing those words knowing that my horse has suffered for months over money!! If you ever need anything for your farm animals Chesapeake is 100% the way to go, they were extremely nice and made sure to explain everything to me and you could tell money was not what they were worried about at all they were worried about what was best for my animal. The vet at Shawnee animal clinic should be ashamed of herself!!"

"SAC has been taking care of our dogs for years now. They handled care for Bear and Harvey up and until they needed to cross the rainbow bridge. They always handled everything with the utmost care and compassion. I have had to drop dogs for care because of emergencies in the middle of the night and they have always been there for us. Recently, they have handled Kelly for us so much that I am not sure if Kelly really knows where he lives because of family and medical issues. In any business you may get sometime a situation or person that you may not care for. That has NEVER happened at SAC EVER. Dr. Gail and Tim have a great crew and staff and we don't know what we would do without them."

"I would like to thank Dr Connor ,Tim wells and every member of the Shawnee Animal clinic staff that took their time to try to save our Bubby. We will miss him but find comfort in knowing that he was well taken care of from the time he came that morning till the time we sadly had to put him to sleep. Your kindness and compassion doesn’t go unnoticed. ❤️"
