Frisch's Big Boy

"2.13.24...Frischs near the old mall. Waitress was very nice and did a great job taking care of me. Frischs is in a sad state of repair. The entire restaurant is in need of a deep clean... they are having trouble keeping help and need to hire a cleaning crew after hours. This place may have had 4, maybe 5 people total, working. I asked for eggs over medium. They were served over easy. Asked for crisp toast, it was soggy. Both were fresh, however, and everything came out hot. Salt shakers filled with micro grain salt that literally POURED out on my food, leaving it inedible. I did alert the waitress to the issue so she could fix this before the next diners. Checked out the breakfast bar, but it looked sad. I know I can order anything from the breakfast menu if I order the bar, but I really don't eat enough to justify that order. My price for the food I received was fair. I will continue to support Frischs (although it is not really a favorite place for me to dine) simply because I hate to see it die. It was part of my childhood. Perhaps if more of us frequent Frischs, they can turn things around. 2.19.24...Went back to Frischs at the Middletown Mall location to make use of my BOGO dessert coupon. Let the person taking my order know I had the coupon when I ordered. Waited behind 3 other cars and finally got my turn at the window. W ok man asked for more $ than I had calculated, so I asked if she had taken the coupon off. She was somewhat terse telling me she didn't hear that there was a coupon. I apologized, and she gave me change. She said that someone would be over after making the 2 hot fudge cakes I'd ordered. Pleasant young lady brought the bag and I drove on. I reached in for fries and found them cold and gross. That mad me sad because they are inedible once cold. I hope the birds or squirrels will eat them. I threw them out the window. I ate my sandwich as I drove... a Buddie Boy. It was pretty flung together, and I discarded half of it. Once home, I gave the 2nd dessert to my brother, and pulled out my own to enjoy. They had been packed well in the bag and had no jostling. Unfortunately, they were also flung together and looked pretty sad. I have 10 more months of coupons from the Frischs calendar. Maybe I will come back here after each use to report. Drive thru window was really filthy and gross."

"We dined here on Jan 18 and had a great meal. Frischs fish sandwich is my favorite, tender and moist, and served hot. Our server, Maliyah, was friendly, polite, and very attentive to our needs. A very pleasant experience all around."

"Stopped by for lunch and got the daily special with soup and salad. I was surprised there was no French dressing salad, the salad lettuce was starting to wilt, broccoli was browning, no croutons on the salad bar but a otherwise solid selection of toppings. Well worth the money and service was great so I'll be back"

"Very welcoming. Walked right in and greeted and seated right away. Our servers brought our drinks and refills right on. One server brought us extra napkins without ever asking for more! Great breakfast experience. Such friendly staff! Had the time of our life’s! Our servers were Amanda and Miss Cindy!"
