"January 2024 Update: This restaurant is among one of my favorites for Italian food, friendly staff and atmosphere. Most recently, my fiance' Nancy finally chose a date for our wedding, with just 6 weeks to plan the entire event. Our waitress Layla told us about the adjacent Elks' Lodge banquet hall which is part of the same building as the restaurant and that the room had some dates available the challenge in finding a wedding and reception venue became a no-brainer. We booked the hall for New Year's Eve and the hall looked beautiful (see pictures included). We had around 60 guests and had the ceremony and reception including dinner, right there which made it super convenient for everyone. Layla worked with Nancy and I to make our wedding both special, and seamless. Everything from the wedding, reception and dinner went off with zero issues. I highly recommend this venue for both casual dining and special events, like our wedding! ============================================ Previous Posting Below A favorite local restaurant with a classic Italian menu. The food, service, and atmosphere are always kept to a high standard. Price for dinner for two with drinks and dessert is around $65 with plenty of leftovers."

"We went to The Spinning Forchetta to celebrate a birthday. Good choice. We made reservations for 5:30 pm, arrived a little early -- which was good -- and right after we were seated a line was forming at the door, and the dining room was completely full 10 minutes later. So, I would advise reservations! The atmosphere was understated old world Italian, with just a few well-placed pictures and pieces of decor, and not that "in-your-face" gaudy, trite decoration you see all too often. Seating was mixed, with various sized tables and booths, and the dining room was a very comfortable space. We ordered fried calamari and cheese sticks for appetizers. Both were crispy, well-seasoned, and not greasy. Both came out sizzling hot. I ordered veal parmigiana, which came with a side of angel hair pasta with homemade marinara sauce, which was delicious. Very authentic tasting, and I could tell it was homemade. I also had a side salad with creamy Italian dressing. The salad was well-chilled and very tasty. Other choices at our table were sea food alfredo, the house trio dinner, and pizza. All were equally delicious. One of the outstanding desserts was the limoncello cake. It was very light and not sour. We also ordered cannoli, which I normally do not like because of the dry-tasting filling. I must say, this cannoli was very good, with crispy shells and a good-tasting cream filling. We also enjoyed the music they played: Italian standards and 1940s music, instrumental and sung by the likes of Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, etc. Very nice. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and helped to make for a most enjoyable evening. This will definitely be my go-to when I need good, authentic Italian food, which is hard to find."

"This is at the old Elks lodge and the Spinning Fork. The atmosphere is kind of like a church basement. The bar area is nice but the rest of it has that vibe. The food was really good. For appetizers the fried ravioli and mozzarella sticks were good. I got the garden pizza and it had mounds of mushrooms. I like my pizzas crispy and this one wasn't but it was done well. I should have asked for that. The service was so so, it's sad but I don't expect much anymore."
