Sueño is a unique food institution located at 607 East 3rd Street in Dayton, Ohio, United States. Inspired by the traditions and culture of Mexico’s culinary scene, Sueño pays homage to those challenging norms south of the border. The restaurant features traditional Mexican fare prepared by 3-time James Beard nominee/finalist Chef Jorge Guzman, using heirloom corn varieties imported from Oaxaca cooked over a live fire hearth in the open kitchen. Wine Director Lauren Gay curates one of the region’s best beverage programs.

"I’ve been to Sueño many times and off of the atmosphere alone this is my favorite restaurant in Dayton. The food here is delicious, namely the shishito peppers, Pollo Al Carbon, and Pumpkin seed dip (Not Pictured Below). Entrees are served with fragrant house made tortillas, I recommend you order extra. Service is always fantastic, I always request the server Ren who is very personable and well paced."
"If I could give the service 6 stars I would. Everyone was extremely hospitable and kind, even the valet! I ordered the vegetable tacos and they were wonderful, super smokey and flavorful. Although the drinks were super strong. We also ordered the cheesecake and it wasn’t super sweet, it’s more tangy and savory which I enjoyed! I definitely will be back!"
"Loved everything about this place! We came because our friends gave us a gift card, and we’d never heard about it before. We forgot to use our gift card and that’s fine, because we will definitely be coming back. Julisa was a fantastic server - so knowledgeable about everything on the menu, gave great recommendations, and had such a fun personality. Every member of staff was so kind, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The kind of place where you could dress up really nicely or come casual and fit right in. The food was phenomenal. Loved the pork tacos and the cheesecake."
"This place has an amazing vibe. Very welcoming and the food is amazing. Lamb birria and Chicken Pollo. Open cooking concept. All the servers are extremely helpful. Below there is a cocktail bar called Tender Mercy owned by the same owners. We didn't have a chance to stay but we're able to walk around. A must visit. We will be back to stay for awhile and enjoy the atmosphere."
"What a chill spot! The restaurant had an overall great vibe, and everything we tried was a knckout winner. Save room for dessert! It was nice being able to see the chefs at work with the fires roaring behind them. We'll definitely be back! Good job, Dayton!"
