"This was our first visit to a Rural King location. Beautiful area, ample parking. It was extremely large inside, but the vast majority of the store is used for clothing. My husband and I live in suburbia but are building a food forest in our front yard, so our main concern was garden supplies. They had surprisingly little despite being so large (maybe because it's late in the season?). For example, I found no seeds, very few soil amendments (I needed perlite and peat moss; Rural King had neither, but the Tractor Supply next door did), and no pots in the size I needed. However, what gardening supplies they had were great prices and mostly on sale. Their prices on galvanized steel trash cans are the best I've seen (I use them to plant little fruit trees; cheapest I've seen was at Lowe's for $33.99 while Rural King had them for $26.99). I picked up a raised garden bed/greenhouse combo for a great price. Their 2-gallon sprayers were on sale for $9, just $2 more than I normally buy the smaller ones for. The chicks were aptly adorable; I can't wait for the day I can eventually have chickens again. The cashier, Brayden, was not very friendly and said nothing to me until I greeted him. Also, we were never approached by an employee and had to seek someone out to get help at one point. Overall, Rural King is surprisingly large and just as surprisingly lacking in the things I needed most. The employees weren't particularly welcoming, either. However, I do think it's worth a visit for the deals they have on a lot of their merchandise."
