About the Business

Kitty’s Catfe is located at 137 North Main Street in Washington Court House, Ohio. We are Fayette County's original Boba & Bubble Tea Cat Café, offering a variety of drink options in 12oz, 16oz, and 24oz sizes. We also have "neutered" drink options for those who are not ready to try the bubbles, as well as prepackaged snacks for purchase. Outside food is welcome, but we ask that it not be shared with the cats in our lounge.

At Kitty’s Catfe, we are a brick and mortar store for rescue cats. Our cats live on-site and interact with visitors during open hours. We handle the adoption process on behalf of the Fayette Regional Humane Society, so you may be able to leave with a new furry family member the same day. Please note that all of our cats are rescues and available for adoption through the FRHS.

Our café space and cat lounge are separate, with separate entrances and HVAC systems to accommodate customers with cat allergies. Visitors can spend time in the cat lounge in 15, 30, or 60 minute increments for a fee. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows, but reservations are recommended. We also have a public board game library in the café and host game nights for groups.

Outside animals are not allowed in the café or cat lounge, except for service animals. Our hours are Monday-Thursday from 11am-6pm (Lounge open 3pm-6pm), Friday-Saturday from 11am-7pm, and Sundays available for private events only.

We strive to create a safe space for LGBTQI communities, where everyone can freely express themselves without fear of violence, bullying, or hate speech. Our goal is to support and protect our visitors in the event of any incidents.

"What a great experience! We had some bubble tea and lattes. Played with cats. And even took one home!"

"Dropped by with my elementary school age son as a last hurrah before his winter break was over and we had a great time! Drinks were amazing and flavorful (the chai was miles better than the Starbucks version I've settled for and the kiddo loved the Strawberry lemonade). Service was fantastic--we were unsure what to order and got great, accommodating suggestions. You could tell everyone wanted to make our visit a good one. Little fella busted his cup by accident and it was even remade for us-- really, they went above and beyond. The Cafe side looked like a great place to hang out and so welcoming with board games and comfy seating. We spent more than an hour on the cat side playing with everyone. It was clean and well maintained without getting rid of the historic homey feel. All of the cats were well taken care of and there were lots of toys to engage with the cats, as well as seating to enjoy the calmer felines. I hear a lot of complaints about "teens these days", but every worker we chatted with was friendly and genuine. It seems like they enjoy their jobs and they contribute to a great atmosphere."

"I have been SO EXCITED for this place to open. Myself and my daughter came here on July 7th and had a warm welcome from one of the owners on the drink side of the business. We decided to pay for 15 minutes with the cats. I was told by the owner we could head over to see the cats and they would bring over our drinks. Once we headed over, we were met with the employee pictured, who seemed very overwhelmed and they immediately told us they were at capacity and we could not come in. Again, it was just my daughter and I in the doorway. We immediately left and headed back over to wait for our drinks. No problem. After we left, others bought time with the cats and started to head over. I had to tell them they were at capacity and we couldn't get in and we were waiting. Once we got our drinks, they were delicious. We enjoyed them! After a short wait, we were told we could head over. The other group was right behind us. When we entered, we sat down. We had zero communication about how the process worked. The employee pictured was curt and said we needed to come over to them and sign papers. No problem. The employee handed me a stack of papers and I started signing them. I said something to the effect of "I have to sign all of this for 2 people?". Then the employee told me they thought we were all together (the group behind us). I had to clarify that it was just two people and say there was only 2 people earlier in the doorway. The employee then said "Well how was I supposed to know?" "I can't be expected to remember that". SUPER COMBATIVE with me. Well, I only had a receipt for the 2 paid 15 minutes I handed them. Also, they did not ask. I then asked if I was overwhelming them. They were offended by this as well and they scoffed and said No. We felt really unwelcome and I did not enjoy the 15 minutes I paid for. I matched the employee's energy 1000% but was definitely more calm than them. 1. I have worked customer service positions for YEARS and this was such unprofessional behavior from the employee. 2. The cat room employee didn't have enough print outs for people to sign and didn't or couldn't print more, which is equally unprofessional. The owner did apologize for the initial confusion over capacity. This was not a problem at all. The problem was the cat room employee's attitude. This business will not make it if the employees behave like this towards customers and that's sad because the cats need homes . This business helps to facilitate this with Fayette Regional Humane Society. My own kitty is from there. If anything, check your attitude at the door to benefit those cats. If you can't, then you need to find another place to work. I wasn't sure if I was going to post this because I felt conflicted. On one hand I want this business to thrive but on the other hand I felt that I wasted my money on a small business that didn't want me there. I won't be back."

"Wonderful environment with friendly workers. Drinks are completely customizable and very reasonably priced. I'd come here everyday if I was able. The cats are adorable and so worth the couple dollars it costs to play with them. 10 dollars covers my drink and cat lounge time every visit. So glad Kitty's Catfe opened so close to me."

"Wonderful service! You can go into the cat room and they will bring your drinks to you. The walls in the cafe part were so cool! I recommend the chocolate covered strawberry drink, my 6 year old cousin and I loved it. Definitely one of the coolest places I’ve been to, I’ll be back soon!"
