"If I could honestly give the plain city store a NEGATIVE 5 stars I would. They are never open. Inconsistent hours. The place is an absolute mess. It’s been this way for well over a year now. Corporate needs to step in and do a reorganization of this. Not sure how it’s still in business."
"Definitely issues here but I honestly believe it’s a corporate problem. These stores are notoriously too small and short staffed and the company just keeps buying and delivering mass products with no place to put it. They stay afloat for a little bit and get sunk again. It’s no wonder people don’t want to work there. It’s a glorified thrift shop with a few groceries. Bring your skinny jeans because passing anyone in an aisle is near impossible. And a lot of aisles are just… impossible to shop."
"People were nice but this is the messiest dollar general I have ever been to. Every aisle had stuff on the floor, some of them alot of stuff on the floor and product just everywhere. It was just a mess. They have a hiring sign so they must be short staffed. Im sure once they are full staffed again and they have time to clean up it will be much better."
"I've come here multiple times in the 3-4 years I've been in plain city. This place is cheap and has a wide selection, the workers are usually pretty nice (everyone has bad days), and the lines are usually pretty short, though the aisles are a little narrow and have boxes in them. But nonetheless it's a great store."
