"We love this school. I have lived in Yellow Springs a long time and had always been a bit skeptical of Antioch- it seemed too permissive and unstructured for my tastes. However, our 4 year old daughter has thrived there. The teachers are engaged with each student, aware of each child's strengths and weaknesses and committed to their education. The children learn conflict resolution from the very beginning and how to be a part of a community. Our daughter has grown tremendously in her year in the nursery and we are so excited to see how she continues to thrive in the years to come."

"My son went to the Antioch School from nursery through 6th grade (the Older Group). He loved going to school and loved learning. He would be excited about working on projects and he use to write and create his own books (somewhere around 50+ books). Now that he is at the local high school, his enthusiasm for school has diminished greatly. He has stated on more than one occasion that he didn't realize how good he had it at the Antioch School while he was there."

"I love the freedom and responsibility children have over their learning at this school. They are confident to try something new or consider what learning interests them. They are comfortable in "our class, this is our school, that we are safe and can take a chance". They take these calculated risks whether it is while reading a book, learning a new instrument, working out a math problem, teaching a friend to play chess or writing a class play or whatever else we can dream up. There is a connection to nature and a sense of caring for each member of the school community."

"Both of my daughters went to the Antioch School. It is such rich learning environment. It helped my children to love learning, work with others, and question the world around them."
