"The only reason I even gave a star was because I had to come up with something to leave this review.. honestly I'm extremely disappointed. 40 dollars for food that resulted in my husband projectile vomiting. I found bones in my BONELESS chicken and the tiny pieces kept breaking off in my mouth to where I now have tooth pain. Absolutely will NOT be eating here and will Absolutely NOT recommend this place to anyone. This place has went down hill and it all together just upsets me. Don't waste your time or money on this place if you are looking for something to eat."
"Went to try Lee's tonight since it is under new ownership and heard good things. Ordered an 8 piece dark meat, beans, mac-n-cheese, coleslaw, biscuits, livers & gizzards. The good: The chicken was decent with good flavor although the coating loses some of its crispiness in the box from the steam but I suppose that can't be helped. The beans were nice and hot and my husband liked his meal. The young man taking orders was nice and polite. Livers were ok. Cole slaw was good and fresh. The bad: The gizzards were practically inedible. I expect them to be chewy but these were like chewing hard plastic, completely weird texture and the taste was somewhat bitter - what happened? Lees used to make great livers and gizzards. Biscuits seemed to be undercooked inside. The dining room was messy - tables not wiped down and trash on the floor. Definitely rocking that "don't care it's fast food" vibe. I wanted to like it, but....just didn't do it for me. I'll try again and hope it's better next time."
"We ordered a 3 piece combo meal & spicy jumbo dippers combo meal. The fried chicken was excellent and well seasoned, but I think we received regular non-spicy bites. Shown in the pics, no seasoning at all - not even salt or pepper, no spice and dry/overcooked. The Mac & cheese also had 0 seasoning, no salt or pepper. Biscuits were great; but didn't come with butter or honey. I tried their bonsai sauce, which was tangy and unique like an Asian style BBQ sauce."
