About the Business
Ridge Live Steamers, located at 7760 North Scenic Highway in Lake Wales, Florida, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of railroad heritage. With 7½” gauge railroad tracks spanning over 7,500 feet, as well as an additional 7,300 feet in sidings and yards, RLS is a haven for model railroad and live steam enthusiasts. The institution welcomes fellow live steamers and those interested in the hobby to join in on the fun. Additionally, RLS hosts events such as the Ridge Live Steamers 2024 Winter Meet Gauge 1 compilation, showcasing a 180-foot, 3-track loop of elevated Gauge 1 and G-Gauge railroads. Steam traction engines and stationary engines are also welcome at RLS, making it a diverse and exciting destination for all railroad enthusiasts.
