"Whenever I travel, I try to treat myself to some form of spa treatment. This time around it was a pedicure and with so many nail salons in the area, it’s always hard to pick one. I happened upon Wonder Nails on a Friday night when I was getting dinner in the area and booked an appointment for the following day at 5pm. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was an incredibly strong chemical smell inside the salon. I guess the staff must just get used to it, because I don’t think I could work there with that smell every day! Although staff were quick to make a booking for me on the Friday night, when I walked in on the Saturday for my appointment, no-one welcomed or acknowledged me. After about 10 minutes, I finally went up to one of the nail techs and told him I was here for my appointment. He directed me to “pick a color and a chair” — any chair? — “yes, any chair”. I chose a chair, sat down and started using the massage functions. That was pretty awesome! It was another 10 minutes, however, before anyone came over and filled the tub with water for my feet. Once it was full, they then left me again. Someone (a different person) finally started on my pedi at 5.25pm — though she appeared more interested in checking the messages on her phone and chatting with the nail tech next to her than doing my pedicure. Gratefully, she did speak some English — though I noticed not many of the staff do. The nail clipping and buffing utensils appeared to be reused from the previous client and not sanitized. Eek! The lady who ended up doing my pedicure was nice enough, but at the end she kind of just left me sitting in the chair. I eventually stood up and walked over to what I thought was the drying table. When I stood up to leave the salon about 10 minutes later, no-one said thank you or goodbye. I know this was only a $25 pedicure (quite cheap!) but I guess they do things a little differently here compared to where I come from, as this was a bit of a disappointing experience."

What I love about Tiffany is that she cares and likes to advise you on the best for you and occasion. Just wait until she knows your style, and then it is when she just lets you more than happy!!! "Well it's a pretty salon for the most part. My nail technician was very sweet, however, kept recommending colors that she liked when I clearly told her I knew what I wanted. I wouldn't go back for the reason that I felt everyone was rushing because they were about to close. I felt like an inconvenience to the salon and my nails speak for themselves. I work in an office and regularly my nails last up to 4 weeks with gel polish. Look at the photos of my nails after 4 days."
