"Two sailings within a month leads me to post that the MSC MAGNIFICA disappoints.....the room stewart was absent...It was like playing hide and seek....couldn't even get the ice bucket filled daily. The food served during our sit down dinners was low quality..don't order the "steak"......NO MORE MSC FOR ME! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!"

"Please read it all if you plan to cruise with MSC. First and foremost. We just got off one of the most beautiful ships I've been on, and I've got almost 20 cruises under my belt. Lets start with what they get right. 1 -Food quality, excellent mostly. Certainly better than any cruise food I've eaten since my Vigin Voyages cruise, which has my #1 spot. 2- The ship MSC Meraviglia is truly amazing. We went on family Christmas cruise. There were more things for the kids to do than some Disney ships. I mean state of the art flight simulator, twin full sized replica Formula 1 race cars with wrap around digital screen, bowling alley, water slides, ropes course, video games, and something Ive not seen on a cruise ship which is a full sized indoor high ceiling basketball court that converts to half a soccer field. 3 - Crew members who made a good impression on me. It's a number less than , which is sad. Gabriel in L'Olive restaurant, Paul my cabin stewart, our server table 839 in L Olive, and an occasional suprising acts of kindness. Now the not so good: 1 - Aside from the few I mentioned above, the rudeness and arogance of the rest of the crew. I mean, straight up. "N, we can't pull a chair up to a table of 6 and make it 7 so I could sit with my family. See I booked at a different time than the rest of my family, so make sure if you are a group, book them all together or they WILL NOT LET YOU SIT WITH YOUR FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS DINNER. Sounds almost unbelievable. I did end up sitting with them late. I missed the appetizer and main course. Like I said in the above good section, a small handfull of crew made it work. 2 - Our 2nd port of call was Ocean Cay ,hich is a 450 achre marine reserve island thats basically a sand bar with 2 or 3 small buildings. We were told it would be a party on the beach with outside BBQ and all the fixins. So Im starved by the time we got ofofhe ship because ho bad the lines were. (I'll elaborate a bit more on the people management skills MSC was lacking. So, we get there expecting to see what I've alI'vs seen when getting off a cruise ship to thier ptheire island. Usually the ha, thhese 55 gallon55-gallonums cut in half, filled with charcoal and run the length of the beach. Jerk chicken, burgers, whatever, just not cruise food. 5000 passengers were expected to stand in line in front of 2 small food trucks. They didn't start serving until 2 hours after we arrived. We were late getting there, so that cut our time down to standing in line for 2 hours for a food truck burger (which was good tasting), then it was time to get back on the ship. The kids had a great time, but I will never cruise MSC ever again. I will share my story with whomever will listen. 3- Check out their BBB report: F rating, 368 unresolved complaints. Not one complaint was acknowledged, responded to, or resolved. For comparison, Royal Caribbean has an "A" rating with over 1600 RESOLVED complaints. We know COVID hit the cruise industry hard, but come on! I actually went to the front desk and asked for their most senior public relations officer to show them MSC, you want to break into the American market. There's room for you here, but you need to clean up your mess and retrain your crews. 4- The Food Quality: was excellent, as I mentioned before, but the choices the Chef made for meals were mostly American comfort food. Meat loaf, southern chicken with gravy, etc... Look, MSC is an Italian ship. I was so looking forward to some real Italian and European fare. Instead, we got what the Italian company thought Americans would be happy with. I get it. Put 1 or 2 comfort food items, that's it. Theres always burgers, fries, and pizza available. 5- People Management Skills: Running a smoothly run cruise ship involves careful management of people, get them feed, off to the broadway show, and most irritating was getting off at port. The lines go around the ship and up the stairs to the next deck above. I've never felt so afraid on a cruise. Had there been a real emergency and the ship needed to be evacuated, no joke It would not go well"

"If I could give it ZERO stars I could have… been on 23 cruises and by far SO DISAPPOINTED… started off with late departure from Port Canaveral…. 4 hrs later to get our luggage delivered to our room .. had to eat dinner in our shorts and clothes that we wore all day from traveling to Orlando …Bar service 20-30 minutes to get a drink … no staff seemed to care or apologize for late departure or lack of service … entertainment amateurish at best … and NO FOOD available after 9:30 pm … WOW … went with family of 10 and had it not been for them it really would’ve been an awful Thanksgiving Vacation …. MSC do better with the beautiful ship you have … I now see why the 2.8 rating … I could go on but y’all get the general idea of this MSC company .. I will write the company as well with my concerns … especially the Muster Drills making wheelchair passengers walk down flights of stairs … ADA needs to be advised …. Dirty tables everywhere as seen at breakfast buffet and other buffet times …"

"We just returned from the seaside cruise ship that left Cape Canaveral to the Bahamas and Mexico. I don’t recommend MSC cruises. While there were many positives, the negative experiences outweighs them by far. The food was mediocre and loaded with carbs. They wouldn’t make a white pizza before 10 pm and ran out of bacon mid cruise! Our hearing was hurt by their 100 db volume at the entertainment hrs, my Apple Watch noise alarm kept warning me yet they wouldn’t do anything about it so bring ear plugs! They are not very organized and their daily schedule have errors causing us to miss things. Of the $101.50 weekly standard tip… the room cleaning folks get about $1 of it… so we made a change to that. The smoking section is right by the rear pool… so good luck if you don’t smoke! To get to the dining hall we had to walk through the casino also smoke filled. If you are up on the top deck pool, good luck finding a bathroom!!! Zero signs! And that’s a problem on this ship, finding your way around is near impossible! The seaside ship is showing its age now, they paint and maintain it in the middle of the day when we were walking through! Our cabin door hinges falling off, our shower door weatherstrip also falling off! The phone malfunctioning, the toilet or the overall bathroom smelled really bad at night! Overall a smooth cruise because we had good weather but a disappointment overall.. oh and everything is an up-charge!!! They only send links to review the ship to select customers… go figure! Steer clear!!!"
