"we decided to do the guided tour. Owen was our guide and he was fantastic!! He had so much knowledge about Emerald Cut, the plants, animals, and even the owners of the property! He made sure to share little tidbits along the kayak adventure! He was so sweet and offered to stop and take pictures wherever we wanted! It was such a beautiful trip ❤️"

"This was our first time at Kings Landing and we would definitely do it again!! We had a scheduled visit but my son got sick the morning of, after reaching out to them they had no problem rescheduling for us! They were helpful in every way. We loved our tour guide, Kate! My daughter had a hard time in the beginning and Kate was great with helping her by attaching her to kayak. This place gets a ten out of a ten! The front desk girl was also super helpful and helped me print out my magnets when I couldn't get it to work. If you get a chance to go in the off season of January or February, DO IT!!!"

"If you were intrigued because of the name, Kings Landing (Game of Thrones reference)… Don’t worry that’s they probably get asked several times a day if this was named after that.. It wasn’t! We booked a guided VIP Wild Florida Adventure, which was a 2.5 hour tour with honestly one of the best tour guides. She was absolutely wonderful, full of knowledge and got us unstuck several times. Firstly, you do get the VIP treatment by skipping the hard work of paddling upstream as you are driven to your starting point. I will say, once we did have to paddle upstream, it was tough work so we were really happy we chose this option. Along the way we saw some herons, alligators, and various other birds. The scenery was absolutely calming, shallow water, there were pockets of water which was very emerald and you can see the fishes. Along the way, you will pass by several private properties, and other groups. Anyone with their own kayak, paddle can utilize this area. Overall, I wish it was sunny for the whole duration of our experience but nonetheless it was definitely an experience worth trying. Now for some logistics, outhouses for bathrooms, parking is available but limited on a busy day. You need your ID to get registered (only the individual who booked the activity). Fill out the waiver form online for quick registration process. If you saw, clear kayaks, that is a separate business that you have to rent from. Tips: Bring cash for tips, we were happy to tip our guide because she was Bring a change of clothes, you will get wet if you choose to get out and in Bring bug spray, there were areas swamped with mosquitoes Bring phone protector (waterproof) Prepare to be hungry, we were starving after our tour"

"Parking: Free parking Tickets: Free! This seems to be private, not a state park. Business hours: Open all year round! But 3pm is the latest time for launch Time spent: at least 2 hours. If you want to kayak, you can stay until 5PM at the latest Route: There are two routes starting from here emerald cut route: The shallow water area is very shallow, about ankle-deep. The scenery is beautiful and very green. In fact, there are some small fish and no crocodiles. It takes about 2 hours to go back and forth. It is tiring to go against the current. Most of them walk this way. There are some houses around, which is really cool. It is so close. This is Kelly Park to the south. - Kelly Park in Rock Springs - Rock Springs is the source of the entire spring upstream The other route: deep water area. The water is very deep. You need to wear a life jacket. There are many animals, such as crocodiles, turtles, scavengers, birds, etc. There are much fewer people in this route. Toilets: free Tour: You can sign up or not. It is cheaper to rent a kayak by yourself, about 54 but more than 60 for a tour. You can rent it yourself and follow the tour. Others: I think I can come here directly without paying any tickets."

"We loved every minute! We booked an early December non-guided tour. The time of year was perfect, there was barely anyone there, and the weather was fantastic! We paddled both the Emerald cut and the river runs and were very pleased with both. We encountered a lot of wildlife and appreciated how quiet the surroundings were! Nature definitely did not disappoint! Birds, fish, turtles, gators, otters, etc. The staff was great, very helpful and informative. Would love to come again. Highly recommend!"
