"sent an email in November and they indicated they would get back to me shortly. I called today--someone from accounting answered the phone. Not professional. Would not recommend using this company as they will only service their existing clients. Do they really do that?"

"Don’t make the mistake we made by hiring AVL Pro to assist you with your home. We signed AVL Pro’s proposal two months ago and paid the requested retainer. We agreed to dates for our first in-person meeting, We arranged air fare, lodging, and transportation, and flew to Naples from our home in the Midwest. The very day of the meeting, as we were getting ready to go to AVL Pro’s office, we looked at our email. There was an email from AVL Pro canceling the meeting we thought we were about to attend. The email further explained that “due to recent occurrences,” and some nonsense about the economy, AVL Pro no longer would be able to assist us. (We didn’t even receive the courtesy of a phone call.) There was no apology, no explanation that someone was ill, no expression of concern about the expenses we had incurred to travel to Naples for the meeting, and no mention of the delays to our project. Nothing about our situation and the difficulties caused to us were mentioned. No referral was made to someone who could help us. No offer was made to discuss the situation. There always is the possibility that some tragic event occurred that caused AVL Pro to act in such an unprofessional manner. We will never know. However, even if that were the case, it is not an excuse for treating clients as we were treated. Yes, I gave AVL Pro one star. This rating system didn’t allow me to give zero stars, or more appropriately, negative stars. You should just take from this rating that they are the worst of the worst."

"Based on the professional and knowledgable designer/technician AVLPro sent to our home, we concluded that we were dealing with the best in the industry. Justin Slaughter taught us how to use the electric and media system in a smart house. He uncomplicated the system and the learning experience so the house won't "outsmart" us. He gave us great confidence in the company, the quality of the product and AVLPro customer service. We highly recommend them. No need to look any further."
