Avalon Air Heating & Cooling

"In May of 2021 we purchased a completely new air conditioning system it was an American Standard manufactured by Trane shortly after the one year parts and labor warranty had ended the evaporator coil went out, Avalon air did nothing to help me. I was able to contact Trane consumer relations and pleaded for assistance and they finally took responsibility for the faulty evaporator coil. Then literally just days before the 1 year warranty was up on that 2nd evaporator coil it went out again. It seems to happen everytime we use the heater, this was just last month December 2023. at this point no one would help us with the faulty evaporator coil and we paid Avalon Heat and air $1,839 (even though it was under warranty they changed for loss of refrigerant etc) So hoping this would finally be the last issue. Then this past Friday less than one month later the compressor has now gone out on this air conditioner. At this point 2 evaporator coils and now the compressor, the two main components of the air conditioner. I have pleaded with help from both the seller and the manufacturer with no success so far. I'm asking for this system to be completely replaced or a full refund of the original amount I paid for the system And the repair costs As of this morning I have not heard back from either the company or the manufacturer. We are retired and live on a fixed income, this faulty AC system has become a significant financial burden on us (we have not even finished paying for the repair from last month) we are truly afraid to put any additional money into repairs because we can not afford for this faulty system to continue failing and costing nearly $2000.00 everytime. This third repair would be the equivalent of almost $6,000 spent repairing the system that was just under $8,000 to begin with. I truly hope there is something that can be done to help us, we are at the end of our patience (and savings) at this point. 2/2024 We have since found out that additionally Avalon heat and air did not obtain the proper permits to install this system and actually installed it improperly the outside unit was placed up against the wall of my brick home when it was supposed to be a minimum of 16 in away this is what caused the system to overheat and repeatedly burn out evaporator coils and finally the compressor. They also failed to have the system inspected upon completion obviously because they knew that they had installed the system incorrectly. At this point we have had to completely replace the entire system. I just want to prevent anyone else from going through this terrible experience."
