"Within 2 months of lease start date; Water issues, cheap construction, poor communication from Property Mgr., no help when asked, charged twice for rent and still forced to pay the $75 returned payment fee. I reached out prior to this to get it resolved and it has been nothing but reactionary from this company. I can't wait for my lease to be up."
"WARNING TO PROPERTY OWNERS Let's talk about this Joke of a rental company Specifically the Ocala office and the manager Alicia Hamb. I spent almost two years living in a beautiful brand new 2/2 in Citrus Spings just to find out at move in how cheap the flooring and other essentials were that were used for construction. A few months into my first year of renting, I discovered a water leak in the wall between the bathrooms. I called Suncoast and was told that there was no water leak and that is was just moisture. They put fans in to dry it out but it stayed. 6 months later it was still an issue, my fiance developed breathing problems who was already sick with Chron's Disease. I tried calling Alicia Hamb several times and could not get through to her. Her assistant would tell me she passed the message on however, no phone calls. It wasn't until I threatened escrow that someone came to the house to pull out the cabinents and find all the mold and the water leak that I was supposedly wrong about (see attached photos). While they were at my house they called Alicia on their cellphone to which I thought was funny with how quickly they were able to get ahold of her while I was ghosted. I would hate to be a property owner and have a property management company treat my brand new building like this. Furthermore, when they came to fix the damage I spoke to maintenance personnel because I noticed that my brand new furniture had caused dents in the cheap flooring. Maintenance told me not to worry about the flooring for they know it's cheap and they will replace it when I move out I moved out two months early this past August and lost my security deposit which is no big deal for I did move out early however, now I'm being charged for the flooring and paint. I mailed a letter stating I didn't think it was fair that I paid for normal wear and tear. I mentioned what maintenance had stated. Alicia Hamb emailed me back with pictures of the damage and stated that I didn't get what maintenance said in writing so there's nothing she can do. In another email she stated that the age of furniture and the flooring itself has nothing to do with the floor being damaged. I guess she is right about not getting it in writing however her statement about the flooring made no sense. Just be careful with this company. They are not very ethical both to their tenants and property owners."
"The property located at Fayal Dr in Jacksonville that I am renting with this company has been the worst decision of my life. The septic tank has had issues since we started living here 3 months ago, this causes the toilets to overflow. Right now there is no electricity to the pump septic, which can't work, and the septic is backing up into the home and the backyard, causing a bad smell and many flies and mosquitoes in my backyard. Every time this happens we can't do laundry or use the toilets. The toilets get clogged every other week. In addition to this recurring issues, there are cockroaches throughout the whole house. The dishwasher is so soiled with food and stains that it has been impossible for us to use it. When we first arrived there was a pile of garbage in the garage and we didn’t have our recycling bin in the house. The garage door didn't work and wasn't fixed until 3 months after we started living here. Since the beginning the house was dirty, the windows and doors full of dust and cobwebs, the walls with holes and bad paint, the closet doors are damaged and in poor condition. The most worrying thing is that I still have 9 months left to live in this defective house and after reading some of the experience of other tenants I am starting to worry about my security deposit. Not to mention that the property manager which I will not mention his name to protect his privacy, has not been helpful at all. He has been completely apathetic to this situation. Definitely, I’m having one of the worst experiences of my life with this company."
"Since the beginning of our lease our newly built duplex has been having issue after issue. From the cabinets falling off, master closet shelves falling off and slicing into my back, door knobs falling off from improper installation, laundry doors falling off track because the door wood is split causing the metal post to not hold the door up (still not repaired), faucet loosening and pipe leaking in the bathroom due to not being installed securely, and now above all things the A/C compressor has went out IN THE HEAT OF JULY which is the worst inconvenience there is. We are on day 3 with no A/C and not a word on any repairs. Communication is unexplainably poor. Everything has to go through warranty and the owners (who take forever in responding). Throughout everything, there has been no compensation or resolution for our dissatisfaction and inconveniences from the owners. The property managers are exceedingly limited to what they are able to do. They are there for point of contact only! Good luck to any new leasers!"
"It is going on 3 months and we still have not received our full deposit back yet! This is completely unacceptable. They charged us for wear and tear touch up paint which is a poor business practice, they are NOT supposed to do that. Wear and tear is to be expected. We filed a dispute and was told it is in the final stages of being approved and that we will be getting a Certified letter in the mail. That was on June 15th and we haven’t received any letter or our full deposit. We left the property in good condition as the below pictures show. Our property manager AUTUMN BAKER does not answer her phone or return our calls. We will be complaining to the Better Business Bureau, their upper management and owner. We will like our full deposit back and would advise others to avoid this company at all costs."
