Windsor Coconut Creek Apartments

"Let me state what has happened in the last year and a half. A drier caught fire most likely due to the vents not being cleaned. I know mine has never been cleaned. I’ve seen tons of items that need repairs in the common areas. The parking lot lights were out for months until the city of coconut creek stepped in and gave them 30 days to fix everything. There was a shooting at one of the pool areas we had police and helicopters surrounding the complex. Several cars have had their wheels stolen and broken into. Shopping carts left in the parking lot for residents bringing them from grocery store across the street. Maintenance request are closed before the repair is even completed. The gates have been broken on and off for over a year. When the new management company took over, they placed laminated Windsor signs at the entrances. They are still there and falling apart. There was a severe trash problem near the dumpster, but that seem to have been fixed for now. This community also has occupants that receive rent assistance. That really doesn’t matter to me, but I figured I would let somebody know since that was never mentioned. Anyways, here’s some pictures. There’s another review with way more pictures Than mine. "I have lived here since 2014 and have worked with all the previous management companies who have made efforts to make this community a home for the residents. This management company is different in that they will tell you they will resolve issues and never actually resolve them. I have had a billing issue since September and it is still not resolved. It was caused because they can't seem to find a valet trash company who will actually remove the trash so they leave it in front of your front door to fester for days on end. We do not have a separate trash bin but a compactor that is always disabled because it's clogged. The new alarm company that was hired replaced the alarm system with an extra sensitive one that will trigger the entire building over cooking egg's every time. Imagine the building alarm getting triggered every day and the management tells you they are working on it since September it's February of the next year. When i asked for a corporate contact to escalate this issue Josh told me to look it up. This is how unhelpful they are. The staff can't solve any issues because they have no experience in property management and the actual manager Josh doesn't empower them so they take the information then nothing happens. No documentation it just like you talked to no one. Imagine having these ongoing issues for almost 6 months. Then when you ask for their corporate number they tell you to look it up. There are many better communities that are more affordable in the area. These issues started right after I renewed my lease in August. Don't rent here."

"Update: 06-19-23 I have lived here for the last year. If you're looking for the "luxury" advertised online, I have some photos attached from my walk today. I feel what is being advertised doesn't match the living experience. I will let you determine for yourself if this is this qualifies as "luxury". Initial Review: 05-22 I just moved in this week. The community is undergoing some changes it seems. Many residents are uneasy about this change. My family was approached by the residents who previously lived my unit and made to feel guilty for being able to "afford" to moving in... It was quite uncomfortable. I also do not feel safe walking alone at night. My family watched a drug deal take place during our move in day in broad daylight. My neighbor loiters and is quite nosey. Don't leave belongings unattended. There was a large hole in the wall when I moved in, along with faucets not working, broken refrigerator shelves, severely cracked microwave, many outlets not working, etc. In addition, the management seems disorganized. We had to send the same paperwork over and over again because they kept misplacing it. We requested to do our paperwork prior to moving in... They promised that we could come in on move-in day and be seen right away. We spent 45 minutes in the lobby waiting, when there were 3 other seemingly available employees. This delayed our moving plans for the day. I am hopeful that the community continues to improve over the course of the coming year."
