Boardwalk Apartments

"- [ ] I have lived in these apartment since 2021. I will admit my first two years of living here management was no good & maintenance was awful. So a lot of the old reviews are true. But they are no longer relevant. They’ve had new owners for almost a year now & important upgrades have been made. There’s a new laundry facility that includes tap pay. When there is maintenance issues. They tend to get onto things quickly. In the past with the old management. It would take months for things to be fixed. I had a broken shower for almost a year. New management came in & fixed it within 5 minutes. This is just one example. Rent is somewhat high. But that is just the way it is in this day & age. All of the other apartments in the area cost more & have less square footage. I’ve went and looked myself when I was considering moving. Clearly this is no shiny gated community. But I’d say you get what you pay for. This is still a low income community. But management , maintenance & the neighbors make it a pretty decent place to live. Also not to mention this location is in walking distance of many places. Health department & the Santa Rosa veterinary center are only about 10-15 minute walk away for example. I won’t sit here and make it seem like this is the most top notch place in town. But if you compare it to all the other low income communities, I’d say this one is a 10 out of 10."

"Don't live here!!!!! The apartments are NOT worth over $1000. No w/d hookups. The laundry room is ALWAYS disgusting with dryers not heating and washers stopping midcycle. Your a/c will hardly work in the summer time and it take a while to get it fixed. The front office doesn't care about things they should care about. Instead it's "police your area". It's not worth it. I promise you. I can't wait to be out of here."

"We relocated to Florida from Indiana and Boardwalk Apartments was our first landing spot. At first, the complex seemed like any other; quiet, no frills and everyone stays to their self for the most part. After about 2 months, we started noticing the dumpsters were not regularly emptied(and I mean they stayed FULL and overflowing). Pest control is a constant issue. Maintenance is a joke and the office "professionals" are the worst I have encountered. Freda is very unprofessional and should be fired. Also, don't try to call the office, you will never get through to a live person. All in all, this place served it's purpose as a last ditch option when we relocated. As soon as our lease was up, we left. One last tidbit of info, I was just informed by someone at the office that our deposit is non-refundable and the office staff should have communicated that when we signed the lease (they didn't). I will never recommend that anyone move here but if you need a spot and can't find another, this will do."

"apartments are very old and you can tell . Maintenance never does they’re job fully everything is half done . When you make a request to them and you’re not home they never bother to come back . Management sucks . Management is very rude besides Trisha . Management doesn’t know how to answer the phone , the door or respond to emails . They really don’t care about anything about rent not any safety hazards . Stairs are very dangerous and on the verge of falling apart . They’re into getting people in and out instead of meeting the ppl needs ."
