"I thought I had found a great practice. Even signed up for a plan. Then I called up today for an emergency - a loose crown with symptoms of an abscess and a lot of pain. I was told to come in a little early so there was time for an X-ray of the tooth at my next scheduled appointment - in a week. I was informed that if there was a cancellation, they’d let me know. Except the office is closed for the next three days. So it looks like the ER for me, as between the pain and the risk of a rupture into my sinuses, I can’t wait until then. I’ve never had a dentist in 40 years and 4 states that couldn’t find 5 minutes to evaluate an emergency. I asked multiple times and the only answer I got was unless there is a cancellation you are out of luck, you must have an appointment for an emergency. Not what I expect from a practice. Update: Dr Gordon followed up when he heard what happened and went above and beyond to resolve my issue. Glad my very positive initial impression was accurate!"
