"I was referred to Dr. Wendt's office by my dentist. After taking off of work to attend an estimate, where Dr. Wendt went on at length talking about the increased risk of a heart attack, stroke or other cardiovascular event associated with periodontal disease, they presented me with a bill of $10,472 for periodontal surgery, of which my dental insurance would only cover $1299, leaving me to pay $9,172 out of pocket. I called my insurance provider and they said to explain my cardiovascular condition to the periodontist's office, and that medical insurance could cover at least part of the bill. After explaining that I have high blood pressure to two receptionists at Dr. Wendt's office, Chrissy and Connie, they both refused to even hear what I had to say about trying to get this surgery covered by my medical insurance. They stated that medical and dental insurance were "two different systems" and that they wouldn't even try. If you don't have over $9,000 lying around, don't go to Dr. Wendt's office because they will schedule you for an estimate and then claim that they are "unable" (unwilling) to help get anything covered by your medical insurance. They said that I'd have to pay out of pocket, then get a ledger from them to be reimbursed "later". We all know how that would go, Dr. Wendt's office gets paid and I don't get reimbursed for an amount of debt that could make me homeless. It's not too much to ask to have an estimate of what medical insurance would cover up front. It's disgusting that this office would treat a school teacher like that, expecting them to pay over $9,000 for a MEDICALLY necessary surgery out of pocket. Also, don't try to call them anywhere around your lunch break, because the entire office will be at lunch at that time and send you straight to voicemail in the middle of a business day. With Dr. Wendt's office you have two options: to be homeless or toothless, and I guess I'd rather not be ruined financially."

"Dr. Wendt seems ok, but his staff is far more concerned with billing your insurance and taking your money before the dentist even sees you. Based on my experience with this office, they are far more concerned with getting paid than they are with my health. I've got very good dental insurance, I make plenty enough money that I've never had to worry about any dental bill, and I have a very positive and long standing relationship with my regular dentist. None of that matters though. Pay up front, bum, before we see you or hit the bricks. What a sad and disappointing way to treat people."

"Going to the dentist always makes me nervous but Dr Wendt and his team really put me at ease. He recommended a conservative treatment for my issue which made me feel better as I was expecting the worst. Super happy my dentist referred me to this office. I would recommend this practice to my friends and family!"

"I wish I could give a 100 star rating. Dr. Wendt and his entire staff went over and beyond. I was a new patient and in pain. Initially I was told that the soonest Dr. Wendt could see me was mid-August. However, Connie spoke with Dr. Wendt last evening and they came into the office early this morning to see me. To the entire office staff and Dr. Wendt, I cannot express to you enough my heartfelt appreciation and kindness that you extended to me. Dr. Wendt was so kind and caring. Thank you again for going over and beyond what any other doctor or office would do."
