"My recent visit to Sarasota Bay Dental left me thoroughly impressed and genuinely satisfied with the level of care and comfort provided. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and a warm, inviting atmosphere that instantly eased any apprehension I had about visiting the dentist."

"I don’t know if I’m just a one off or what, but I had a terrible experience here time and time again which ultimately caused me to go to a new office. My first visit I showed up on a weekday 15 minutes early. I had to take time off from work for the appointment. 15 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start I was told their x ray machine wasn’t working and they would have to reschedule me. These things happen but man, what a huge inconvenience. This was red flag #1 but I didn’t consider it that at the time since it was simply a mechanical error. So I get re-scheduled and go to my annual. My dental hygienist was late… stuck in traffic. Annoying, but again it happens. Everything went fine and they even gave me a credit on my account for the inconvenience from the first visit. I liked it thus far so I made appts for my kids. Dentist told my husband that they have “multiple cavities” and should consider filling or even pulling their baby teeth. Took them to a pediatric dentist for a second opinion and they had a vastly different number of cavities found and they applied a topical medication to them. No teeth had to be filled or pulled. Red flag #2. I go back a year later for another annual. They ask for my insurance card to ensure it’s still the same so I give it to them. Go back into my room and sit there and wait. Dental hygienist came in and did my x rays and cleaning (roughly an hour or hour and a half.. however long it typically takes). Go out to the front where I’m now told AFTER the appt that my insurance isn’t going through and that I owe $145 for the appointment!!! Nobody once came and stopped the appointment to tell me my insurance didn’t go through! But they said “oh we’ll give you the new patient discount of x rays and cleaning for $95. Red flag #3 Then they tell me I have a $65 balance on my account from my LAST ANNUAL. Over a year ago!!! When I asked “well why didn’t anyone send me a bill???” They informed me that their “staff members at the time weren’t the best” well who’s fault is that??? Not mine! How do I even know I actually owe $65?! So what did I have to do? Pay $160!!! Red flag #4 I went home, got my insurance straightened out, called back repeatedly to give them my correct insurance and get a refund. THIS TOOK 5 MONTHS!!!! Numerous emails, follow ups, calls, etc. I have never had to chase people down like this before for a refund and for them to bill my insurance! Red flag #5 Lastly, when I switched dental companies I asked them to send my records to my new office. I never received a reply via email or a call back. Red flag #6. My office NEVER got my records. They even tried reaching out themselves. But you know what they did since they are a great dental office? Re-did my X-rays for FREE. I would not recommend this place."
