"$10 a month saved me nearly $100,000. I had some disputed medical bills where I was told in a recorded phone call I would only have to pay $2,000 to $3,000 for my hospital stay. Later I received bills totaling over $100,000. Multiple calls failed to resolve the issue, but as soon as someone from preferred legal sent a letter signed by an attorney, they said they would not attempt to collect that debt, nor would they send me to collections or report me to any credit agency. "THESE ARE NOT ATTORNEYS!! THIS IS AN INSURANCE AGENCY!! Don't waste your money. All they do is send a letter to whoever you want. There is it no legal representation whatsoever. Jason Rudolph, doesn't return emails or phone calls and Jackie is useless. Total waste of time and money. BEWARE!! Especially through payroll deduction. If you leave and they are working on something they just stop!! No notice, nothing."

"Worked with Jason Rudolph had a great first time experience. Good listener and makes time for you. On the other hand, don't count on Claudia if they assign her to you. She sounds lazy and makes assumptions. I sent her an email she never responded. I called to follow-up. She read my email for the first time while we were on the phone. She didn't read my email thoroughly and said she' ll email me back. That was on 8/3- to this day still no email. I only allowed them to give me someone else because Jason was on vacation and I needed some advice quick. Edit: Added one more star. I fought a ticket with Melanie and she was great in helping me. I renewed my contract with Preferred legal."

"Definitely worth a try either as part of your employee benefits or individually. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because it took a while to actually open lines of communication or wait for callbacks and verifying membership. This could be attributed to case load and its understandable, but otherwise it's a great service with knowledgeable and courteous staff. Be patient and you'll see results."
