"I went in to make a payment to the Clerk of Court for $25.00, I am a 75 year old female! Ruth had me fill out the information which was fine and then she waited on two other customers before me! I tried to pay with my debit card and she said they only take cash so she said we have an ATM right around the corner so I put in my card in and asked for a $40 withdrawal! it told me to take my card and my receipt which I did but no money came out, I waited a minute, still nothing but my receipt shows a $40 withdrawal! I went to the window and told Ruth I didn’t get any monies and the Manager went to the back of the ATM but came up with nothing! And they asked me “ are you sure you didn’t take it out and stick it in your purse?”!So I emptied my purse in their counter and showed them and then someone else said “ are you sure it didn’t fall on the floor?” And I said don’t you think I would have seen $40 on the floor! I called my bank and thankfully that $40 didn’t go through! I left Amscot after being there for an hour and a half needless to said very upset! Will never go back! They pretty much accused me of stealing!!"

"Bad business, Western Union users, be aware, they ask for your social security in order to create an account, Publix and other WU providers don't. Bad customer service, 3 attendant inside talking, I was the only client waiting. Customers be aware !!!!"

"I recently spoke with the manager of this location about the services that their location, and Amscot in general, offer to the public... and she was very friendly, speaking with a smile on her face, and not talking to me like she was trying to get me to use one of their services while I was there. But, before I left I figured I'd try out paying a bill with cash; not something I ever do anymore. I didn't mind the wait as it was less than five minutes, but by the time I got to the window I noticed immediately that the teller was not in a good mood... when it was my turn to approach the window, she wasn't even looking up, and yelled "Next!" I hoped that my subtle cheerfulness would help her to maybe put a smile on her face, but during our transaction she was slamming drawers and had an attitude the entire time, almost giving me orders of where to initial and where to sign and date--even though I continued to speak to her calmly. Towards the end I said very politely, "I hope your workday ends soon so you can go home and have a nice Friday evening... setting yourself up for a great weekend." Now I know that she was listening to me, but instead of any sort of response, she yelled out "Next!". I'm going right back to paying for everything electronically... but at least I can say that I have paid a bill using cash at a third party Financial Institution. I know that I'll need a Money Order at some point every few years, and whenever I do, I will use Amscot because you can't beat free."
